It has been a fabulous week in school this week...here's an end of week message from Mrs Jones:
As we reach the halfway point of this first half term, I wanted to take a moment to say just how proud I am of our students.
This week alone, our Year 11 students have been exemplary in the way they have engaged with their PSHE work, approaching important conversations with maturity and thoughtfulness. Our Sixth Form students have also thrown themselves into their enrichment activities, from sport to crafts and plenty in between, brilliantly supported by staff who have willingly shared their time, talents and enthusiasm.
Our Year 7 students have started their journey with us in a thoroughly positive way. We can all see how they have adapted so quickly to being a part of our school and how they are engaging so well with their learning.
Today we have finished the week by turning the school blue for our Wear It Blue Day, raising awareness and funds for Orchid - Fighting Male Cancer and their work supporting those affected by male cancers. It has been fantastic to see the school community get behind it.
Halfway through the half term, there is already a great deal to celebrate. What makes me proudest, though, is seeing our young people getting involved, supporting one another, trying new things and making the most of the opportunities available to them.
Schools are busy places, and sometimes itβs important to pause amongst all that activity and simply say: well done! Well done to our students for such a positive start to the academic year, and thank you to the staff who make so much of this possible. Iβm a very proud Headteacher as we reach the end of Friday.
