Massive pride for Leo this Deaf awareness week... This year's theme is “Right to understand – Together, we break barriers,” and emphasizes the significance of accessible communication.
It's perfect timing that this week Leo passed his Level 1 British Sign language course and recently joined a new school Leo does have Ci's, but it's still technology and has its limitations. It breaks, it runs out of batteries, it doesn't provide complete or proper hearing which is why having an alternative form of communication is vital!
Likewise Leo goes to an oral school which helps him polish his Lipreading skills and communication within the hearing community.
As a deaf person, Leo will excel in all aspects of life with this comprehensive communication approach.
