Hello everyone!

I have had an amazing 6 and a half years in business as autism act, met some incredible young people, families and schools. Hopefully, I've had some impact on helping neurodivergent youngers and those who support them.

Now, it's time for me to move on. Apart from a few small but very important pieces of 121 and training work, autism act is coming to an end, as I retire and take on the next stage of life.

I've learnt so much, I'm honoured to have done this work. There are no words that can express how I feel, none that do justice to how I feel.

No matter what happens next, I will ALWAYS advocate for autism and neurodivergence and the amazing youngsters who bring their unique, incredible outlook on things 😊

I'd like to thank everyone I've worked with over the last 6 and a half years, who've helped me build my business and develop my professional life. Again there are no words to express gratitude.

Adieu to you all πŸ’•

Does your child hold onto their poo?

It's very common and something we hear about all the time on our Helpline.

It's an issue which can cause a huge amount of stress and confusion to parents, which is why we are grateful to Ana for her sharing her son Vlad's struggles with withholding poo and how with help from ERIC they managed to overcome them.

Thanks to the 2 amazing groups of parents who attended my 6 week destination autism parent course this term.

SEES was held at Great Wakering Primary and ZMAT held at Laindon Park Primary, thanks to both venues. Thanks also to Harry and Sarah for coming along as guest speakers ☺️

I consider it a real privilege to do this work and Im looking forward to organising the Spring Term courses ☺️

I'm incredibly lucky to work with some amazing young women. I'm very passionate about this work.

Lovely to be surprised tonight with a fabulous cake by my own 'star baker' 🌟 🍰

(The puppy knocked in to me before I took the photo!)

I guess many of you are also watching BBC1 Panarama, documentary with Kellie Bright on autism and school support.

I'm sure it will ring true with many of you.

For autistic girls, simply showing up can mean battling fear, panic, and exhaustion. What they need most isn’t punishment, it’s kindness, and understanding of the resilience they've already shown before the school day even begins.
