🖤 Creating a Battle-Worn Fantasy Cloak | 1:3 Scale Commission
A little work-in-progress from a custom commission I’m creating for my lovely client in France. 🇫🇷

This 1:3 scale hooded cloak is being made with a heavily weathered, battle-worn finish — as though it has travelled through countless journeys and carries a story of its own.

Creating something intentionally worn is surprisingly challenging! I experimented several times with different distressing and finishing techniques to achieve the torn edges, small holes, faded areas and irregular wear throughout the fabric. The aim was to make every mark feel naturally aged and battle-worn, rather than simply damaged.
After several attempts, I’m finally very happy with the character of this version. There are still a few adjustments to make around the wired areas before it is completely finished, but I already love the dark, mysterious atmosphere it has developed.

Projects like this are especially close to my heart. Gothic, dark fantasy and mysterious designs are subjects I’ve always dreamed of exploring more through my miniature work, so it has been such a pleasure bringing this piece to life. 🖤

Once everything is completed, I’ll photograph the cloak properly on the doll mannequin — and I honestly can’t wait to see the final dark creation come together.
More to come soon… 🖤🕯️

✨ Completed — Custom Two-Tier Cathedral Veil ✨
I’m so happy to share the finished result of this beautiful custom veil, created for my lovely client in the USA. 🤍

This bespoke two-tier cathedral veil was designed around my client’s love for rich, dramatic lace. One of her special requests was to have the upper layer heavily embellished with statement floral lace, creating an elegant lace-cap effect when worn over the head.

Rather than simply placing the appliqués onto the veil, I carefully arranged and shaped each piece so that the floral motifs flow naturally into one another and become part of the veil itself. The lace gradually opens into the soft tulle before continuing through the cathedral-length layers and around the sweeping train.
I especially love the contrast between the intricate, dimensional lace around the upper veil and the light, sheer tulle flowing underneath. From close up, there are so many little details to discover, while from a distance it creates such a wonderfully dramatic silhouette. ✨

It has been a pleasure bringing this custom design from the first arrangement of lace pieces to the completed veil, and I hope my lovely client will feel truly beautiful wearing it on her special day. 🤍

Thank you so much for trusting me to create something so special for you. 🥰

✨ From Comic to Reality — A Very Special Custom Commission ✨

I’m so happy to finally share this custom doll outfit, created for my lovely client in the USA. 🖤🤍
The design was inspired by a character from the comic On the Way to Meet Mom, and it was such an interesting project to bring from illustrated inspiration into a real miniature outfit.

My client’s doll is 1:4 scale with double arms, which made this commission especially challenging. The outfit needed to work beautifully with the doll’s unusual proportions while still capturing the dramatic silhouette and feeling of the original character design.

From the flowing black-and-gold hooded cloak to the contrasting black-and-white outfit underneath, every part was carefully adapted and handmade for this particular doll.

It was definitely a challenging project, but also an incredibly rewarding one. Seeing the original comic inspiration slowly come to life in miniature form was absolutely lovely. 🥰

A huge thank you to my wonderful client for trusting me with such a unique commission! ❤️
From comic → sketch → fabric → reality. ✨

✨ Making of a Custom Cathedral Veil ✨

A little behind-the-scenes look at a custom veil I’m creating for my lovely client in the USA. 🤍
She loves a rich lace look around the head, so I’m carefully arranging the statement floral lace appliqués around the upper layer to create a beautiful lace-cap effect.
The finished veil will feature two overlapping cathedral-length layers, with lots of intricate lace detailing. Still a work in progress—stay tuned for the next stage! ✂️🪡✨

✨ A New Bespoke Bridal Project Begins… ✨

I’m so excited to share the beginning of a very special custom wedding veil commission for a lovely client in the USA. 🤍

We’re still in the design stage, discussing all the little details that will eventually bring her dream veil to life. This will be a truly bespoke piece — not a veil chosen from a catalogue or something you can simply find in a shop.

One of the most exciting parts of this commission is that I’ll be creating the floral embroidered lace appliqués entirely from scratch — not using ready-made lace from the market. From the original floral motif design and thread colour selection to the embroidery, placement and final veil design, every element will be created especially for my bride.

These beautiful threads are just the very beginning. 🧵✨ It may not look like much yet, but soon they’ll become part of something completely personal and one-of-a-kind.

Projects like this are why I love bespoke work so much — starting with an idea, a story and a few materials, then slowly transforming them into something that exists for one bride only.

I’ll be sharing little glimpses of the making process as this veil develops. I can’t wait to show you what comes next. 🤍
Follow along to watch this bespoke wedding veil come to life.

✨ Another step closer to completion! ✨
I’ve just finished the delicate lace cover-up for this 1:6 scale Princess Kate-inspired wedding dress, specially made for my lovely client in the USA. 🤍

This has definitely not been an easy project! From searching for lace fine enough for 1:6 scale, to creating the tiny pearl-button back closure and making sure every little floral detail looks perfectly proportioned on the doll — so much careful work has gone into this miniature piece.

I’m especially glad my client purchased the doll from me as well, so I can fit every part of the outfit directly on her for the best possible finish.
Now there are just two final steps left: the train and petticoat! 👰🏻‍♀️✨
Stay tuned — I’ll share the completed bridal look very soon! 🤍

Soft powder blue fabric, delicate vintage-style lace and lots of tiny handmade details went into this piece. 🤍🩵

It’s been a busy week in the studio, but always so satisfying to see another creation finished and ready for its journey. ✈️
