With a decade of experience in mathematics education, I am a dedicated teacher who finds joy in illuminating maths to my students. My passion lies in creating those "light bulb moments" and demonstrating the real-world applications of mathematics. My expertise spans a wide range of curricula, including:
- SATs
- Key Stage 3
- GCSE
- Functional Skills
- A-level mathematics

I specialize in Statistics at the A-level, bringing depth and practical insight to this crucial field of study. Before embarking on my teaching career, I pursued excellence in a different arena – as a Paralympic ski racer! This unique background has instilled in me a deep understanding of perseverance, goal-setting, and the power of dedicated practice – values I now impart to my students. My dual experiences as an athlete and educator have shaped my teaching philosophy: I believe in pushing boundaries, overcoming challenges, and achieving what might seem impossible. I strive to inspire my students not just in mathematics, but in life, showing them that with the right mindset and effort, they can conquer any obstacle – whether it's a complex equation or a steep ski slope! Additional important tutor training I have:

But not trying guarantees it.

💪 Maths meets the gym!

Ever noticed that the numbers on weight stacks don’t always go up evenly? On this machine, the lbs side goes up in neat 10s, but the kg side looks a bit messy: 5, 9, 14, 18, 23… 🤔

That’s because 1 kg ≈ 2.2 lbs, so when you convert between the two, the numbers don’t come out as whole numbers. To make it easier, they’ve rounded – which is why the increments don’t match perfectly.

I know it makes sense… but my mathematical brain still finds it a bit annoying when the numbers aren’t in order! 🙈

A little reminder that maths really is everywhere… even when you’re working out! 🏋️‍♀️✨
