Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to let you know that we have just received our toothbrushing home packs from the local authority to support children’s oral health.

Each pack includes useful resources to help encourage good toothbrushing habits at home. These will be sent home with your child/ren over the coming days.

Promoting regular toothbrushing is an important part of maintaining healthy teeth and gums, and we hope these packs will be a helpful addition to your daily routine.

Today, we mark an incredibly special and emotional milestone. 🧡

After 1,236 days filled with courage, resilience, and unwavering strength, this remarkable little boy Frankie, has completed his chemotherapy treatment. It is impossible to truly put into words the journey he has faced or the bravery he has shown every single day. He is, without question, a Hero.

Behind such strength stands an incredibly supportive and loving family. From one Parent to another, I want to acknowledge the unwavering love you’ve shown, the strength you’ve found in the hardest moments, and the courage you’ve carried every step of the way. Through every sleepless night and silent worry, you have been his safe place, his comfort, and his greatest source of strength.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks to our preschool community for your generosity and support. Your efforts, particularly in helping to ease a difficult Christmas period in 2022, made a meaningful difference to this family. Your kindness was a clear reflection of the strength and care within our community.

Today represents more than the end of treatment, it marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope, healing, and brighter days ahead. Now it’s time to reclaim the joy of childhood once again ✨

Let the Toothbrushing commence 😁

We have just received our resources and equipment for our toothbrushing scheme, and we’re all set to get started! Our new supplies include toothbrushes, toothpaste, storage systems, and educational materials that will help children build positive oral health habits every day.

This scheme is a fantastic way to support children in learning how to care for their teeth, encouraging good brushing routines and promoting healthy smiles.

A big thank you to the parents that have returned the consent forms and to everyone involved in helping us bring this initiative to life. We can’t wait to get started and see those bright, healthy smiles ✨ 🦷 🪥

The centre continues to support the community, now delivering a healthy slice of high-quality early years education .

This week we had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year together!

We explored the traditions of the festival through a range of fun, hands‑on activities. The children enjoyed a food‑tasting experience where they tried a variety of Chinese dishes and talked about their different flavours and textures.

We also got creative by making our own colourful Chinese lanterns, learning about their symbolism and the importance of light during the celebration.

To finish the week, we all took part in a lively dragon dance, moving together to the rhythm of the drums and bringing good luck for the year ahead.

It was a joyful and memorable celebration filled with learning, culture, and fun!

We are incredibly proud to announce that one of our valued staff members, Amelia has successfully completed her NVQ lvl 2 in childcare through an apprenticeship programme with us.

Amelia originally joined us on placement from City College to gain experience for her Health and Social Care qualification. During her time with us, she not only completed her course but also discovered her true calling. 💖 Inspired by her experience, Amelia made the decision to return to study and gain her qualification in Childcare. I feel this shows her passion, and commitment to a future in the early years sector.

This is a wonderful achievement and a true reflection of Amelia’s dedication, hard work, and shared commitment to providing high-quality care and education for the children that attend our setting.

As a team, we are extremely proud of Amelia’s progress and positive impact she continues to make everyday.

If an EHCNA has been submitted for your child, please note that you will still need to apply for a school placement via the portal.

Getting back to routine after the holidays is equally busy, settling the children back down after all the excitement. Time flies so quickly, so we recommend you apply early to avoid any last minute rush.

We’re delighted to have achieved our Bronze Award - Healthy Eating and to be officially recognised as a part of the HEYA family 😌

Earning this award encouraged us to reflect meaningfully on of our food provision and helped us to ensure our healthy eating practices are consistent, informed, child-centred and most of all nutritious.
