OTD; 26th April 1923.

Queen Elizabeth II’s parents, Prince Albert, Duke of York, later King George VI, married Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, later Queen Elizabeth and Queen-Mother thereafter, at Westminster Abbey.

Interesting fact; The future Queen Mother decided to lay her bouquet at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, a tradition that is upheld by all Royal brides to this day.
