Our Youth Village Book has dropped!

Filled with photographs, reflections, and special moments from our residential visit, it is a wonderful reminder of the courage, teamwork, resilience, and friendships shown throughout the trip. We are so proud of all the children and the lasting memories they created together.

What a fantastic start to the girls' football season!

A brilliant start in South Tyneside Pool 1, with 2 wins and a draw!

The girls have also enjoyed a few friendly matches along the way, getting plenty of game time, building confidence and, most importantly, having fun!

So proud of the effort, teamwork and determination shown by everyone so far. Keep up the hard work, girls!

THINK!... BEFORE BUYING A CHRISTMAS PRESENT THAT CANNOT BE USED

In the run up to Christmas, we would like to help you make informed decisions about presents you buy for your children. Don’t help your child break the law with e-scooters, e-bikes, and off-road motorbikes.

As we’re sure you’re aware from the news and possibly personal experience, these illegally-ridden vehicles cause not just nuisance to our communities but also pose a huge risk to the safety of the public including that of your own child.

All privately-owned e-scooters are NOT LEGAL to be ridden anywhere on public land.

This includes roads, cycle lanes, footpaths, and bridleways.

The only place to ride them legally is on private land with the landowner’s permission.

Electrically-assisted pedal cycles (EPACs) and e-bikes are a little more complex as various conditions apply for them to be road legal.

CONSEQUENCES OF ILLEGAL RIDING

The vehicle can be seized by police and crushed.

The rider (including a child) could be prosecuted for driving offences resulting in penalty points and a fine.

If the rider doesn’t have a driving licence, a ‘ghost’ licence is created where the penalty points are held until a provisional licence is issued.

A parent/carer can be prosecuted for the offence of ‘use, cause and permit’ the illegal use of a vehicle, i.e. they have bought the vehicle and have allowed the child to ride it.

Again, penalty points and a fine can apply.

Youth Village Return Update

The children will be leaving the Youth Village at 2:00pm and are expected to arrive back at school in time for the end of the normal school day.

Pick-up: Children can be collected from the main school hall.

Any medication or other items** can also be collected from the main school hall at this time.

Today we’ve been learning all about the story of Zacchaeus and his journey of change, followed by a very special surprise… a **disco!**

But shhh… it’s a secret! Don’t tell the children!

What a brilliant way to end another fun-filled day of learning, laughter and memories!

Good morning from the Youth Village!

Breakfast is served and we’re all fuelled up and ready for a fun-packed day ahead!

After a busy night, we all eventually managed to get some sleep. Now it’s time to make the most of the day, create some memories and have plenty of fun!

Let the adventures begin!

What a great start to our retreat. It’s been lovely settling in and enjoying our first evening together.

Now just getting ready for bed and hopefully an early night before a busy day tomorrow!
