After being closed for a little while, Hands for Youth CIC is SO excited to finally open our doors again! 💛
Join us on Tuesday 1st September, 11am–3pm for a special REOPENING EVENT for young people across South Tyneside aged 7+! 🥳

🏺 Get creative at our Pottery Station
🍪 Have fun decorating cookies
🎨 Enjoy our welcoming youth centre space
💛 Come along, have fun and celebrate our reopening with us!

Looking for fun, affordable summer activities for your child? Join us for exciting days out, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences!

💷 Cost: £10 per child, per day

🌈 Introducing Mighty Minds! 🌈

A safe, supportive programme for young people aged 8–14 to learn grounding techniques, understand their emotions, and build the confidence to talk about how they feel — without judgment. 💛

🧠 Why Mighty Minds?
With so many young people struggling with their mental health, Mighty Minds gives them a space to learn how to regulate emotions, manage overwhelm, and create their own personal “safety toolbox” to use whenever things feel tough.

📍 Location: 71 Fowler Street, South Shields, NE33 1NT
📅 Starting: 2026 — Saturdays
⏰ Time: 10:30–11:30AM / 11:30–12:30PM
💷 Cost: FREE
✨ Each session will be grouped with up to 6 young people

Hi all, over the weekend, we had an incident within our property which resulted in major damages, and for the safety and wellbeing of all young people and our staff our youth centre will remain closed until further notice.

All clubs and wellbeing sessions are cancelled and if you have prepaid for sessions, you will be refunded.

We are hoping the clean up and renovation won’t take too long, but we thank you for your patience and kindness in this difficult time.

Any donations of;

Rugs,
Foam squares for the floor,
Board games

Would be greatly appreciated as ours were all damaged in the incident 😞
