✨🌈 Our new playroom is ready! 🌈✨

What a labour of love this little space has been! 🏡❤️

Over the last few weeks, SO much hard work has gone into creating our brand-new Hanna’s House playroom. From planning every little corner, choosing furniture and resources, painting, building, moving things around (and then moving them again 😂), to thinking carefully about how every part of the room will work for our little people… it’s definitely been a journey!

But seeing it all finally come together makes every bit of hard work worth it. 🥹🌈

We feel incredibly lucky and grateful to be able to create a space that is completely dedicated to our children — somewhere they can feel happy, safe and at home, while having the freedom to play, explore, create, learn and just be little. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way, listened to our endless ideas, lifted, built, painted, fixed and generally helped turn our vision into reality! 😂👏

We’ve poured so much love into this room and we genuinely cannot wait to see it filled with little voices, busy hands, big imaginations and lots and lots of play. 🥰 the children who have been in already seem so engaged and happy already… so so far it’s definitely been worth it!! ☺️

Here’s to the next chapter of Hanna’s House 🏡🌈✨

We’re so grateful to get to do what we do — and even more grateful to the wonderful families who trust us with their little people every day. ❤️.

⛱️ Last Day Beach Party ⛱️
For the last day of term we had a fabulous beach party. With the pool, sand, inflatables, and party tunes.
The children loved the pool float addition to the pool.
We of course had to have a sea themed table for lunchtime and some fun umbrellas in our juice ( a special end of term treat)

We also said a goodbye to our school and nursery leavers. We will miss all our children who we have watched grow from tiny babies until now. We hope you love your new settings and cannot wait to get updates from your parents on how you're settling in.

Happy Summer everyone xx 🌞 ⛱️

🐻 Leavers Teddy bears picnic 🐻
We had a lovely afternoon last week for our children who are leaving for nursery and school. The children all brought in a teddy bear from home for the day and enjoyed a picnic outside with all their friends and bears. We also had some bear themed activities set up for the day for them to enjoy. 😊 We hope they all had a great time ###

🐾🩺 Vets for the Day! 🩺🐾

To finish our People Who Help Us fortnight, our little learners became vets for the day! 🐶🐢✨

The children had a wonderful time learning about the important role vets play in caring for animals and helping them stay healthy and happy. Through role play, they became veterinary surgeons and animal carers, checking on their patients and making sure they received lots of love and attention. ❤️

We were very lucky to have two special visitors join us for the day!

🐶 Brian the Cavapoo came to visit, and the children loved spending time with him. They enjoyed taking him for walks, giving him lots of gentle fuss, and helping to care for him by pretending he was poorly and needed treatment from our caring little vets.

🐢 We also welcomed Logan the Turtle, giving the children the opportunity to learn about and observe a very different type of pet. The children were fascinated by Logan and enjoyed discussing how different animals have different needs and ways of being cared for.

Throughout the day, we talked about how vets help animals when they are sick or injured and how important it is to treat all animals with kindness, care, and respect.

Today’s activities helped children to:
🐾 Learn about caring for animals and their needs
🩺 Understand the role of vets in our community
💬 Develop communication and imaginative role-play skills
❤️ Encourage empathy, kindness, and responsibility
🌟 Explore similarities and differences between different types of pets

The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting Brian and Logan and learning about how to care for animals. It was the perfect way to end our People Who Help Us fortnight, and we are so proud of everything the children have learned. 👏✨

A huge thank you to Brian and Logan’s owners for bringing them along and helping to create such a memorable and engaging learning experience for the children. We really appreciate your support! 💚

🦷😁 Dentists for the Day! 😁🦷

As part of our People Who Help Us fortnight, our little learners became dentists for the day! 🪥✨

The children had a fantastic time exploring the important role dentists play in helping us keep our teeth and mouths healthy. Through imaginative role play, they took turns being dentists and patients in our very own dentist surgery, complete with a dentist chair! 🦷👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

One of the children’s favourite activities was cleaning our pretend laminated teeth using toothbrushes. They carefully brushed away the “food” and “plaque,” learning how important it is to brush our teeth properly and look after our oral health. 🪥✨

We talked about:
😁 Why we need to brush our teeth twice a day
🦷 How dentists help keep our teeth healthy
🍎 Foods and drinks that are good for our teeth
😊 The importance of visiting the dentist regularly

Today’s activities helped children to:
🪥 Learn about oral hygiene and self-care
🦷 Understand the role of dentists in our community
💬 Develop communication and language skills through role play
🤝 Build confidence and social skills
⭐ Learn healthy habits in a fun and engaging way

The children thoroughly enjoyed caring for their patients and practising their tooth-brushing skills. It was wonderful to see them developing positive attitudes towards dental care through play and hands-on learning. 👏😁

A big thank you to all the dentists and dental teams who help keep our smiles healthy and bright! 🦷💙

📮✉️ Posties for the Day! ✉️📮

As part of our People Who Help Us fortnight, our little learners became postmen and postwomen for the day! 📬✨

The children had lots of fun learning about the important role postal workers play in helping us stay connected with our family, friends, and communities.

We got busy creating our own letters and postcards before posting them into our very own post box. The children then took on the role of posties, sorting and delivering the mail to different people around our setting. 📮📦

To extend our learning, we also went on a walk to visit a real post box in our local community. The children enjoyed spotting the post box, talking about how letters travel from one place to another, and learning about the journey mail takes before reaching its destination. 🚶‍♀️📬🚶‍♂️

Today’s activities helped children to:
✉️ Develop early writing and mark-making skills
📮 Learn about how mail is collected and delivered
🚶 Explore their local community
🤝 Build communication, social, and role-play skills
📦 Encourage imagination and understanding of real-world jobs

The children thoroughly enjoyed being posties for the day and were excited to deliver their special mail. It was wonderful to see their curiosity as they learned about the people who help ensure our letters and parcels arrive safely every day. 😊⭐

A big thank you to all the postal workers who work hard in all weathers to keep our communities connected. ❤️📮

🚸🛑 Lollipop People for the Day! 🛑🚸

As part of our People Who Help Us fortnight, our little learners explored the important role of lollipop people and how they help keep us safe when crossing the road. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️✨

The children had great fun using lollipop signs, toy cars, and a road set-up to act out real-life road crossing situations. Through role play, they learned how lollipop people help pedestrians cross safely and why it is important to follow road safety rules.

We talked about how to cross the road safely by:
👀 Stopping and looking both ways
👂 Listening carefully for traffic
🚶 Walking, not running, when crossing
✋ Waiting for it to be safe before crossing
🚸 Following the instructions of a lollipop person

The children enjoyed taking turns being pedestrians, drivers, and lollipop people, helping them understand the importance of keeping themselves and others safe near roads.

Today’s activities helped children to:
🚸 Learn valuable road safety skills
🛑 Understand the role of lollipop people in our community
🚗 Develop communication and turn-taking skills
🤝 Build confidence through role play and discussion
⭐ Increase awareness of how to stay safe when out and about

We are so proud of how well the children engaged in today’s activities and discussions. Learning about road safety in a fun, practical way helps children develop important life skills that they can use every day. 👏💛

A big thank you to all the dedicated lollipop people who help keep children, families, and communities safe every day. 🚸✨

🚛♻️ Refuse Collectors for the Day! ♻️🚛

As part of our People Who Help Us fortnight, our little learners became refuse collectors for the day! 🌍✨
The children had a fantastic time learning about the important role refuse collectors play in keeping our streets, parks, and communities clean and safe. Through role play and hands-on activities, they collected, sorted, and recycled different materials while learning about caring for our environment.

We were incredibly lucky to have a very special visitor today! One of our wonderful parents kindly brought a real bin lorry from their workplace for the children to explore. The children were excited to climb inside the cab, see how the vehicle works, and learn more about the important job of collecting waste and recycling. Watching the lorry in action was definitely a highlight of the day! 🚛⭐

A huge thank you to our parent for taking the time to visit us and provide such a memorable and educational experience for the children. Your kindness and support helped bring our learning to life, and we are so grateful. 💚

Today’s activities helped children to:
♻️ Learn about recycling and caring for the environment
🚛 Understand the role of refuse collectors in our community
🌍 Develop awareness of how we can help keep our environment clean
🤝 Build communication, teamwork, and cooperation skills
😊 Gain confidence through hands-on learning and role play

Our little refuse collectors did an amazing job and thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience. Well done, everyone! 👏🌟

A big thank you to all the refuse collection teams who work hard in all weathers to keep our communities clean, safe, and environmentally friendly. 💚🚛
