🚨 WHEN SHOULD YOU CALL THE HOSPITAL IN LABOUR?
Save this for later — because when labour starts, it can be hard to know what’s “normal” and when you should call. 🤍
Call your maternity unit/hospital if:
👶🏻Your contractions are becoming regular, stronger and closer together, according to the guidance you’ve been given
💧 Your waters break — especially if the fluid is green/brown, smelly, or you’re unsure
🩸 You have vaginal bleeding
👣 Your baby’s movements are reduced or different from usual
⚠️ You have severe or constant abdominal pain
🤕 You feel unwell or something just doesn’t feel right
🚨 You have any urgent concerns about you or your baby
And remember, you do not have to wait until you’re certain. If you’re worried, call your maternity team and let them guide you.
📌 Save this Reel and send it to your birth partner — they may need it when you’re busy focusing on labour!

If you’re expecting and want antenatal classes that feel more like spending an evening with knowledgeable friends than sitting through a lecture, we’d love to meet you.

We had the lovely Anna from join us last week for Feeding Week, where she shared her knowledge on breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and some of the challenges families can face along the way.
It was so lovely connecting with such a like minded woman and learning from her expertise. 🧡
If you’re looking for support with breastfeeding or tongue tie, Anna is absolutely your girl! 🫶🏻

🤱 Does your baby vomit? 🤢
It can be really worrying when your little one brings milk back up—but it almost always looks like far more than it actually is!
In this video, we show you what these amounts really look like:
🍼 5ml
🍼 15ml
🍼 60ml (2oz)
🍼 90ml (3oz)
Hopefully this helps put those little milk spills into perspective and gives you a better idea of what you’re seeing.
💛 Trust your instincts though, if your baby is vomiting frequently, is forcefully vomiting, seems unwell, isn’t feeding well, has fewer wet nappies, or you’re worried for any reason, always contact your healthcare professional for advice.
Save this post for future reference and share it with another parent who might find it reassuring 💕
