Deb Prins Tutor
English tuition for KS2, KS3 and GCSE
Hi I'm Deb. I have over 30 years’ experience teaching English in schools and colleges across the West Midlands.
If you have any questions please contact me by WhatsApp, email, or through my website.
Good luck to all my GCSE students over the next few weeks. I know you’ll be amazing xx
Good luck tomorrow, and the next few weeks, to all my GCSE students!
Wishing all my lovely students and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you for all your support over the last twelve months. Who knows what 2022 will bring, but we’ll work our way through it together.
Lessons resume week beginning Monday 3rd January.
We’re almost at the end of another year, and what a strange year it’s been! I’d like to thank all my students for their adaptability and willingness to move from face to face, to online lessons and back again. I feel so privileged to have a job that I love so much and that gives me the opportunity to see my students grow in confidence, improve their skills and pass exams at all levels.
Wishing you all a relaxing summer.
Just to add, I am fully booked for September but please contact me if you would like to be added to my waiting list or if you are wanting day time lessons for a home educated child.

It’s the end of a crazy but wonderful term!
Happy Christmas to all my students and their parents - let’s hope 2021 is a better year for all!
First half term as a full time English tutor is complete. How lucky am I to work with such wonderful, hard working children and to get to know their parents too?
I’ve enjoyed creating descriptive settings and letters of complaint with KS2 as well as 11+ preparation for some, creative writing and language analysis with KS3 and the nitty gritty of exam preparation with KS4. ☺️

So despite rumours in the press that poetry was to be removed for GCSE literature students this academic year, it seems the choice of which text to drop is between 19th century text and modern text (Inspector Calls for most of you). I hope no one has thrown away their poetry anthology!
Changes to 2021 exams for GCSE English Literature We’ve been working hard to make the relevant changes to our qualifications following Ofqual’s decisions on 2021 exams, so here are the changes you need to know for summer 2021.

I’m now full booked for after school and Saturdays in September. Slots do become available during the year so please get in touch if you would like to be put on my waiting list. I also have some availability during the day for home schooled students.
