✨ WELCOME BACK, KiM FAMILIES! ✨

🎒 And just like that, the summer holidays are almost over and a brand-new adventure is about to begin!

We are looking forward to welcoming all of our wonderful children and families back for the new school year. ☀️

💛 A special, warm welcome goes to all the new families joining our primary school community for the very first time. We are so happy to have you with us!

We can't wait to see all of those smiling faces when school starts back on Wednesday, 9th September. Our school staff will be on the playground from 8.50am with school starting at 9.00am.

Our teachers and school staff have been working incredibly hard over the holidays to get the classrooms looking perfect with some wonderful learning about to take place. We hope you enjoy your final few days of the holiday and we will see you all very soon! 🌟

🎪 Come and find the PTA in the Children’s Area tomorrow at Malham Show 🎪

We’ll be in the big building near the bouncy castles, with a variety of fun games and activities for the children to enjoy throughout the morning 🎯🎨

Children can also join us to decorate their very own face mask ready to take part in the Face Mask Parade in the Main Ring at 1.40pm! 🎭✨

Bring your finished mask along to the Main Ring where they’ll all be paraded and judged – we can’t wait to see everyone’s creations!

Come down, have some fun and support the PTA at the same time! ❤️

🌟 We couldn’t be prouder of our Year 6! 🌟

While we’re delighted with the fantastic SATs results that we received yesterday, what makes these children so special can’t be measured by a test score. They are kind, caring, talented and compassionate young people who have embraced every opportunity during their time at KiM.

Today is their final day with us, and they leave behind a legacy of friendship, laughter and unforgettable memories. We will miss every single one of them and can’t wait to see what they achieve next.

Good luck, Year 6, you’ll always be part of the KiM family. ❤️🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to share with you our brand-new Nurture Room! ❤️

At KiM Primary, the well-being and emotional support of our students are at the heart of everything we do. We want all children to feel supported, included and nurtured.

To make this vision a reality, we have officially transformed Mrs Robert’s and Mrs Allen’s office into a dedicated, calm and welcoming space designed entirely for our children.

Mrs Robert and Mrs Allen have happily packed up their desks to make way for a room filled with comfortable seating, sensory resources, and quiet spaces.

This space will be used to support children who need a little extra emotional care, a quiet break, or a safe place to talk through their feelings. It will also be used for small group work or 1:1 learning. It is a space for all children to enjoy, learn in and develop. This is a room for everyone.

We have loved transforming this room; redecorating, moving furniture and a little bit of shopping bringing this room to life.

Thank you also to Scott and Waqar for painting the whole room and creating a fresh, clean and bright space. 🥰

The creation of this room has been jointly funded by school funds and donations from the PTA. The room will be used for years to come and will benefit many children. Thank you to the PTA for their continued support. 👏

An amazing performance!

Victoria Hall in Settle was the perfect venue for our children to get up on stage this evening and put on a wonderful performance.

The Greatest Show was just that…Great!

The children sang their hearts out, delivered their lines with confidence and clarity and the dances brought the stage alive.

From the youngest child in Reception to our Year 6 Leavers, all the children took to the stage with admirable confidence and were supported by a fantastic audience.

Thanks to everyone involved, from the staff at school to the staff the Victoria Hall, as well as all those who came to watch.

A truly marvellous end of year performance from the small school with a big heart.

What a wonderful day for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic!

This afternoon we were joined by the children who will be in our Nursery and Reception class in September.

It was great to be able to give the children an opportunity to play, meet each other and have something to eat with their teddy bears.

It was also really lovely for our parents to chat and get to know each other. We have many new families joining our school in September so a big welcome to you all.

Every child left with a KiM reading book bag full of information about our amazing PTA, who also funded the book bags. Children also left with a gift of a reading book from our school to enjoy at home.

We can’t wait to see you all again in September when Mrs Middleton, our amazing Class 1 teacher, will have lots of learning and play ready for you all.

☀️ Keeping Cool This Week…Again☀️

For the next 2 days the temperatures are expected to be very high again.

Children are welcome to wear their PE kit (shorts and PE top) tomorrow and Friday if this is cooler than their school uniform.

Please remember to pack a water bottle and sun hat and ensure sun cream is applied before school.

Year 6 are asked to leave leavers’ hoodies at home, as classrooms are expected to be very warm.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and comfortable in the heat.
