Today we have been exploring with our senses. We had lemon and limes in the water, the children were using their senses to smell the lemons and limes “yummy” “sweet”. At snack time we used our taste buds to try the lemon and limes. “Sour” “disgusting “. Lots of language and describing words were used.

The Little Seahorses have been busy today experimenting with powder paint. The children have been mixing, filling and pouring the paint identifying different colours. We looked at yellow and blue and what happens when they are mixed together. We found out that the less water we used made the mixture thicker! Chapel St Leonards Primary School C.I.T Academies

2 days into the school week and we have already enjoyed so many learning opportunities! We have enjoyed experimenting with bubbles which is great for developing our gross motor skills. We found lots of exciting things on our welly walk and have created lots of beautiful pictures! We are getting so good at recognising our names now too! The Little Seahorses have been superstars today! We started the day with a dandelion experiment… which led to the children observing the tiny seeds and wanting to plant them. This morning has been a busy one. The children have been making the most of the sunshine and we have spent the morning outside exploring. We have found some mini beasts and have started to make a house for the ladybirds. The children have enjoyed digging, painting and problem solving.
