Today brought plenty of laughter and teamwork at The Lodge Provision when our pigs decided to enjoy a little extra freedom!

Our children and young people loved every minute of calmly working together to guide them safely back to their enclosure. It was a fantastic opportunity to practise patience, communication, problem-solving and animal handling skills in a real-life situation.

Sometimes the best learning experiences are the ones you never plan. A memorable day for everyone involved – including Poppy and Petal, who are now safely back where they belong!

What a fantastic day at Holiday Club! 🌿

Today’s favourite activity was paddle board practice in the pool, with everyone growing in confidence, balance and water skills while having lots of fun.

The afternoon finished with games and some impressive yoga poses. A special well done to J, who mastered the Back Crab pose, while JB was crowned our Champion Wave Maker, creating plenty of laughs and smiles in the pool!

Another brilliant day of building confidence, friendships and unforgettable memories at The Lodge Provision.

🎓 What a year it’s been at The Lodge Provision.

This academic year has been filled with moments we’ll never forget.

We’ve celebrated achievements big and small, supported positive school transitions, helped young people re-engage with education, built confidence, developed life skills, created lasting friendships, and watched so many young people discover just how capable they truly are.

Every smile, every challenge overcome, every new skill learned, and every step forward reminds us why we do what we do.

Now it’s time to swap school bags for wellies, campfires, swimming, animal care, woodland adventures, laughter, and making new friends as our Summer Holiday Club begins.

To all of our young people, families, schools, local authorities, and partner organisations—thank you for being part of another incredible year. Your support means the world to us.

Here’s to an unforgettable summer and an exciting new academic year ahead.

We couldn’t be prouder of our Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award cohort for successfully completing their incredible 3-night expedition.

Throughout the expedition they demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience, determination and dedication, supporting one another every step of the way and overcoming every challenge they faced.

This achievement is a testament to their hard work, commitment and positive attitude. They should all be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished.

Congratulations to every one of you – what an amazing achievement!

Busy few weeks here at The Lodge! 🌿

A huge well done to J, who has completed his work experience placement. As always, he worked incredibly hard, showed fantastic commitment, and was a real asset to the team. We’re so proud of everything he has achieved.

We’ve also had some exciting new arrivals, with Mumma Duck hatching seven beautiful ducklings! 🐥💛

And with the warm weather, we’ve made the most of plenty of swimming sessions to keep everyone cool while building confidence, having fun, and making wonderful memories.

🏡🌿 The Tree House is Complete! 🌿🏡

What an amazing achievement! Our young people have worked so hard, showing fantastic teamwork, creativity, and determination.

A perfect day of bird watching 🐦 from their lookout tower, imagining they are in a fort or castle, cow watching 🐄 in the next field, exploring, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors.

🌿✨ This Week at The Lodge Provision ✨🌿

Our learners have been enjoying a wonderful week of elderflower foraging, exploring nature and learning about the plants growing around us.

Working together as a team, we carefully gathered fresh elderflowers before heading back to camp to put our skills into practice. Using tools safely and responsibly, we boiled our elderflowers over the campfire and transformed them into some delicious homemade treats!

The day was packed with opportunities to develop safe tool use, teamwork, campfire cooking skills, confidence, and a deeper connection with nature.

There’s something special about turning ingredients gathered from the natural environment into something everyone can enjoy. Well done to all our learners for their hard work, enthusiasm, and fantastic teamwork!

A huge achievement this week for F, who waved goodbye to mum and completed 2 hours independently today — we are so proud of him 💚

Our outdoor heated swimming pool is officially OPEN — and we’re proud to share that we have achieved the RLSS UK Water Smart Schools GOLD Award! 🥇
The pool has already been enjoyed for:�🏊 Swimming lessons�💙 Therapeutic water activities�☀️ Recreational swimming�🛟 Water safety and life skills
At The Lodge Provision, we believe swimming is about so much more than fun. Through structured sessions with a qualified swimming teacher and lifeguard, our young people are building confidence, independence, safety awareness, and lifelong skills in and around the water.
It has quickly become a true favourite for everyone at The Lodge, and seeing our young people thrive in the water has been incredible.
