It’s sometimes lovely being a little quieter in half terms and spending more quality time with the children who are in ❤️ we had an explore at Johnson’s today and got VERY muddy! 🤣

6am this morning I was prepping dinner 🍽️ I pride myself in offering as many home cooked meals as possible so your mind can be at ease knowing they are getting some nutritious food. today is a cottage pie 🥧 and homemade sponge cake 🍰 😋

Children have loved observing watching them grow and waiting for them to hatch! Including myself.

Those jars I got donated are being turned into kindness jars ⭐️ where each of the older children will all get a turn to have everyone else write special notes about them: what we like about them, how we think they are special and how they make us happy! 🥰 supporting confidence and self-esteem. After all we all need some confidence boosting at times so they are in jars for the children to look at whenever they please and hopefully we put a special smile on their faces too ❤️

We’ve had a lovely half term. It’s been quieter than we usually are during term time. However it meant I’ve been able to spend some quality time with the ones that have been here ❤️ we’ve had a trip out to feed the ducks and to a local museum, on rainy days we’ve gone to soft play and baked cakes and made puppets to create our own puppet shows! Finished off today at the local care home for intergenerational play. 🥰

It’s been a very busy period leading up to Christmas with a Christmas dinner for 10, film and treat night and a Christmas party

Today we went and observed the remembrance service at school! Including some of my very own squirrel scout drey (proud moment) 🐿️

The school and all the children involved were amazing 🤩

Also this week here we have been taking a real interest in some of the children’s interests outside of school/my setting. Including one child learning to play guitar 🎸 we listened to James play and then we listened to the child who is learning, showing off what he has learnt so far 🥰 amazing that we can really encourage children’s interests/ talents 😃
