🌟 A huge congratulations to Caia Santos, Hannah (Stevie) Harris and Miranda Gregory, who have all been selected as semi-finalists in this year’s National Musical Theatre Graduate Awards - The Graddys! 🎭

Caia and Miranda recently celebrated their graduation from BIRD within the Class of 2026, and Stevie will join our illustrious alumni with the Class of 2027. Each will be representing BIRD at the London semi-finals this October.

The Graddys celebrate the next generation of musical theatre performers as they prepare to take their first steps into the industry, and we’re incredibly proud to see three of our graduating students among this year’s semi-finalists.

Brava Caia, Stevie and Miranda! 🕊️

This Black History Month, we celebrate the Black artists, creatives and trailblazers who have shaped, and continue to innovate and create, the performing arts. 🖤

At BIRD, we’re proud to celebrate the voices, stories and talent within our own community, whilst recognising the generations of Black performers and creatives whose work has helped transform our industry. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

Throughout October, we’ll be taking time to celebrate Black creativity, reflect on its impact and continue the conversation about representation and opportunity across the performing arts.

Happy Black History Month from everyone at BIRD. ❤️💛💚

Auditioning for professional training this year? Start here. 🕊️

What should you put in your video audition? How do you make an impression in the room? What are audition panels actually looking for? How can you walk in feeling prepared rather than nervous?

On 29 October, we’re spending a full day answering those questions.

Our new Audition Intensive gives aspiring performers aged 15+ the chance to train at BIRD and work directly with members of our artistic and academic team before audition season gets underway.

Expect specialist practical workshops, guidance on your video audition, advice for approaching a live audition, feedback from the BIRD team and a live Q&A. So whether your focus is Musical Theatre: Triple Threat, Musical Theatre: Singer-Actor or Professional Dance and Performance, you’ll find this day most helpful.

And if BIRD is on your audition list for 2027, there’s an added bonus: your BIRD audition fee is waived when you attend.
