Some of today’s activities! We have a mixture of reading games and fine motor skill activities, including line marking, using scissors, threading and play dough!

It’s that time of year again…

The start of summer term is always bittersweet as GCSE exams draw near to a close, year 11 students leave and new students start!

Tutoring is slightly different from school, as I get to work with each child on a one-to-one basis for many years in a far more relaxed environment. I very quickly learn their likes, their dislikes, the world through their eyes! It’s truly a privilege to walk alongside each student, support them through their school life and watch them grow into incredible young men and women. Each student holds a special place in my heart 🥰

As another chapter closes, and I see my current year 11s grown up and ready to move onto their next exciting chapter, I am filled with pride as I see each one ready to face the world! It has been a privilege to have been a small part in their journey.

Leavers cards written and ready to be posted, final year 11 sessions are coming to an end, and I’m in the middle of laminating and preparing resources for new starters over the next few weeks! Summer term is a busy one!

A little peak into what a session looks like with my youngest students! Today we had lots of fun with developing fine motor skills, early mark making and using pop-its for phonics! We tend to do sessions on the carpet as it can be a lot more comfortable for little legs!
