THE RIVER RUN — AID STATIONS & TOILETS!

Sunday 6th September

Here’s a quick look at the aid stations on this year’s course 👀

And yes… we have toilets out on the course this year! 🚻🙌

A huge thank you to Liz and Bramber Parish Council for letting us use the car park in Bramber — we’ll have toilets there, plus a cracking aid station to keep you fuelled and moving.

The final race of the South Coast Series is nearly here — the one that started it all — and we’re buzzing for race day.

It’s all go behind the scenes at the moment, making sure everything is in place for a brilliant day out on the trails.

Finishing the year with the race that inspired a whole series of races. We’re pumped and ready to roll!

Plus the Cow Marshal has returned to help us!

Hello! The Shoreham Elves are out of hibernation and are busily starting to plan for this year's Light Up Shoreham event, which will be on Friday 11 December.

If you're interested in having a stall at the event, the window for expressions of interest is NOW OPEN! 🥳🥳🥳

Please contact the Council Events team on [email protected], with information about the kinds of products that you sell, and whether you would need a
single (2.5m x 2.5m) or double (2.5m x 5m) stall at the event.

The window for expressing interest will be open until *9 September*.

Please note that only the Council can advise on stall allocation - please don't message this page or email the LUS inbox about stalls (we will be glad to help with other questions about the event, though!); you need to contact [email protected].

We’re preparing to start the first stage of the work needed to get our Albion Street council homes fit for residents to move into them.

We explained last month that issues of poor design, workmanship and materials under the oversight of the original contractor, Westridge Construction, had left dozens of the 49 new flats in Southwick at risk of serious ongoing damp problems.

This was only discovered after Westridge collapsed and a replacement firm, Cheesmur Building Contractors, was brought in to finish the project.

A significant amount of work is needed before the homes can be occupied, including the replacement of balconies and south-facing brickwork, the treatment of flats for water damage and the redecoration of many of the properties.

The first step is to apply sealant to the sides of the building not facing the sea, to provide better waterproofing for the brickwork. Scaffolding is currently being put in place so that work can begin.
