Today we say goodbye to two special members of our community. Mrs Wall and Mrs Pickford have been part of our school community for many years but now it’s time for them to move to new adventures. Thank you for all you have done for our children and enjoy retirement 💖💖

We are delighted to announce that St George's have achieved the School Games PLATINUM Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, and to the school staff who support them. Well done to everyone!

We were delighted to enjoy much better weather for this morning’s House Sports competition! The children gave it their all, running, jumping and dribbling with fantastic determination. It was wonderful to see so many parents joining in too, helping to make the morning even more special.

The competition was incredibly close, but for the second year running, St Thomas More House (Green) proudly lifted the House Sports trophy! 🏆💚

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff for organising such a fantastic event, to all of our children for their enthusiasm, teamwork and perseverance, and to the parents who took the time to come along, support and participate.

Congratulations to St Thomas More House (Green) on a well-deserved victory! 💚👏

Today was our final Southend City Sports event and we were represented by a fabulous group from Year 5. They participated in the Key Stage Two Mini Games and as ever they were wonderful ambassadors for St Georges!

Fantastic news for St Anne Line house who won the House Stars Competition this time. Members of the victorious house can wear non-uniform with a splash of red on Thursday 16th July.

The final artist of the month for this year is Darcey from St Peter’s class, for her wonderful self-portrait. She created a background that reflected her personality through the use of words and colour. She then completed the piece with her self-portrait traced onto a piece of acetate - she further made features pop using a pastel colour palette. Well done Darcey!
