Thank you Solihull College & University Centre for inviting us in and giving us the opportunity to meet with the students and also enabling us to give the next workforce an insight of what it is like to work in an Early Years Setting.

Thank you to Raise To Shine nursery for its support with student placements and .

It was great to see Nursery Managers Lisa and Parul inspiring our Level 2 students who are currently on placement.

Programme Manager of Education and Childcare Lucy Upton said, "Hearing first-hand experiences helps bring the Early Years curriculum to life and gives our learners valuable insight into the day-to-day rewards and challenges of the profession. ✨✨Tortoise Visit!
This morning, preschool got to experience meeting the lovely Ginger and Freddie the tortoises! We all had the best time learning about where they live, what they eat and identifying their different features. For some children, this would have been their first ever encounter of seeing these wonderful animals. The children were all so caring and considerate when handling the tortoises with such care. We spoke about the importance of hand washing after handling and feeding Ginger and Freddie, especially because it was right before snack time!
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Carina and her lovely family for sharing this with us today, this was such a lovely treat & preschool have had the best morning so far learning all about tortoises!✨✨

Pre school and Toddlers have been busy taking part in Christmas craft activities. They have made hand made Christmas decorations, Stockings and Glitter Ball balls.

The children used their fine motor skills and applied lots of glue and sparkle to their stockings and ball balls. This activity was such a success not only did the children enjoy getting messy but also created a memorable decoration to share at home in celebration of Christmas.

✨✨✨Remembrance Day!!

We are proud to share that our Remembrance Day display has come together beautifully.

The children have been busy creating red and black poppies using paper. They also added delicate white glitter doves, representing peace. The children learnt all about the colours of the poppies and developed an understanding of meaning behind them.
