Shipston Youth Club

Shipston Youth Club A safe space for ages 11 - 16 to come together We have use of a large field during this time. We are open every Tuesday during term time from 7pm to 9pm.

Shipston Youth club provides a safe secure environment where 11 to 16 year olds can socialise with their peers and make new friends. We have lots of activities on offer such as table tennis, pool table and table football as well as sports equipment for better weather. For the less sporty we have a big selection of board games and art/crafts. Or you may just want to sit on the sofas with your frie

nds for a social or listen to music. We are very much guided by the young people as to what they want from their youth club. As a club we like to encourage young people to talk and think about health, social and contemporary issues. We run several workshops during the year covering a variety of subjects. We like our members to participate and help organise activities/fundraising in our local community and we offer guidance and support with any issues a young person may have. The club is located at the Sheldon Bosley Hub on Pittway Avenue, Shipston. Membership fee is £1.50 per night and new members to the club can have their first night for free to try it out. We do have a tuck shop where we sell such things as chocolate, sweets and drinks but the young people are also welcome to bring their own refreshments if they wish. Free water and squash is always available also. Shipston Youth Club is a registered charity. The structure of the club is managed by a management committee. The club is operated on their behalf by a qualified employed team consisting of a youth worker in charge, 1 support youth worker and volunteers. Further information can be obtained from :

Tomorrow at youth club, we will have a visitor coming to see us called Megan from Compass. Please be aware that Megan will be discussing such issues as drug and va**ng use. Compass have visited us before and the young people found it very informative and asked lots of questions.

Youth club is now for all year groups, at once years 7 to 11. We tried it differently but our feedback tells us that you would like to attend every week!

Tonight our fantastic volunteer Nikki has baked LOTS of cupcakes for you to decorate (and eat!)

Happy New Year!

The children are still not back at school so there will be no youth club tonight, which is fortunate given the weather!

Next week Jan 9th there will be a staff meeting, so no youth club.

On Jan 16th, we will be having the Caramba theatre company coming to perform their pantomime - of which our Youth worker in charge Tim is a member of. The pantomime will be Treasure Island!!

This week will be open to all year groups but please for young people to only attend if they would like to watch the panto.

Tonight was also my last evening working as an Assistant Youth Worker at Shipston Youth Club 🥹

I have been at the youth club for around 8 years in total over two separate stints and have loved my time with the amazing young people that have come through our doors.

I will still be popping in from time to time to volunteer so they haven't fully got rid of me! 😉😄

I want to say a huge thank you to all of the amazing staff, volunteers and of course the young people.

There are some amazing young people in our midst if only we take the time to really see them. They can all shine when given the chance. 🙂

Thank you so much. I will miss you all heaps!

It's our final youth club of the year tomorrow night (Tues) and we're having a disco! Young people can bring some food to nibble on if they like and maybe wear something Christmassy? Eg Xmas jumper, Santa hat etc...

All year groups 7-11 are welcome.
