The teachings of the Ancient Greeks came out to play this week as our 5–11 group explored the power of the Greek Chorus.

Speaking in unison, moving as one, and working together to tell a story, our young performers discovered how one of the oldest theatre techniques in history can still create something truly exciting today.

They also found time to block four scenes from their upcoming original production, The Secret Life of a Sewing Spy 🕵️‍♀️

At Stagepoint Studio, every week our students develop professional acting skills, build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and create their own original theatre in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment.

Because when learning is enjoyable, creativity flourishes, confidence grows, and young people achieve far more than they ever thought possible.

There's a reason the phrase "teamwork makes the dream work" has stood the test of time.

Because it's true 😊

Every week at Stagepoint Studio, we see young people encouraging one another, celebrating each other's successes, and growing together as a team.

This week our 11–16 group continued exploring Stanislavski, truthful performance, improvisation, and scene work. The quality of work they're producing is fantastic, but what makes me proudest is the environment they're creating together.

Looking through these photos, I don't just see young actors developing their skills.

I see confidence growing.

I see friendships forming.

I see a team.

And it's a privilege to watch.

Five weeks down and our amazing students already have the script in their hands for this term's original heritage production! 🎭🙌

Created from their own ideas, imagination, and research, the story is now taking shape. Casting has been completed, the first scene is blocked, and the characters are beginning to come to life.

It's incredible to see what young people can achieve when they're given the opportunity, encouragement, and confidence to create something of their own.

We can't wait to see where the next few weeks take us as we work towards bringing this very special story to the stage. 😊

There's something truly special about giving young people the freedom to create.

This term, our students have been challenged to devise an original play inspired by the theme of heritage. Rather than focusing on famous events or historical figures, they chose something far more personal: the connections we share, the stories we inherit, and the small moments that shape who we become.

It's a beautiful concept, and one that says so much about the young people involved. Their ability to recognise that heritage isn't just found in museums or history books, but in family, friendships, memories and experiences, has been genuinely inspiring.

This week, the foundations of their story began to take shape. Ideas were shared, characters were explored, and little by little, a completely original production started to emerge.

We were also incredibly lucky to be joined by the wonderful Victoria Melody, fresh from her tour in America, who spent time with the group sharing her experiences and supporting their creative development.

Alongside creating the story itself, we've continued developing the acting, creative thinking and collaboration skills that will be needed to bring this original heritage play to life.

The journey is only just beginning, but already it's shaping up to be something very special. 🎭
