I took my students on a journey this week.

We sat with Mother Earth & drank Cacao. 🤎

Setting intention to release or create.🔥

To be out of the restrictions of the classroom.
To offer a different perspective of yoga.
Sometimes we get lost in the asana (movement).

This offered a unique medicine for each participant but one thread linked them all; the need to slow down & be present in the moment.

I love this work.

I've met parts of myself that are dark & destructive.
Parts that I have tucked away because they felt to big for me.
But by not meeting myself in the dark, I closed myself off from the joy, laughter & thrill of life.

I went through a time where I was wild & it got out of my control, so I shut myself down out of fear & judgement.
By being in control all the time I built a wall without realising & distanced myself from my feelings & from relationship with others.

Doing this work I am meeting those parts that once scared me & making space for them.
I'm learning it's ok to let go & being a little wild isn't always destructive.

Its slow work, building my capacity, building my ability to feel all emotions along the spectrum & allowing myself to be seen in it.

It's powerful & true for me to be on this path.
