When darkness falls our view of the world distorts, at night is when we tell ourselves all the bad things happen

As children we are scared of the monster in the cupboard or under our beds and ask for a night light

The mind plays tricks & we fear what we can not see

I believe this time of year asks us to leave the stories of the mind behind & listen to the medicine of the dark

Begin your journey inwards with me on 30th October at The Veil

Being present isn't about blocking the world out

It's being grounded in yourself so you can expereince life

When the dogs interrupt my yoga, I'm still in practice when I give them attention, coming into awareness of what it is in the present moment 🐾

I found myself stuck in a dark place & I can admit now that I actually really liked it there, it was a comfort blanket to me

At the time I would move from one thing to the next expecting things to change but I wasn't changing so the thing would just follow me

It took a long time but I had to make that choice to rewrite the pattern & there isn't a quick fix for that,

it takes time

Sometimes on the spiral of healing I come back to those places but from a different lense & I can clock it before I loop back in

Each spiral builds my capacity to journey to the depths of what is underneath the darkness that was holding me

Everyone has their own journey
&
Everyone has a choice

Entering a space that creates community

I've become comfortable where I am, just coasting through because it's easy & I've been afraid of taking up space but I am capable of so much more & I can feel the fire in my belly that is hungry for it

Change can be scary, choosing yourself can be alien but I know in the choices I've made recently they have been for me & my growth

I am here to live not just exist

Have you made a choice just to keep the peace

Abandoned yourself to keep others comfortable

How grounded are you in the choices you make

Stepping into a space with me is to grow your capacity to hold an experience & trust in yourself
