We're here to make your time studying Psychology as enjoyable as we can, whether that's by advising you academically, providing opportunities to volunteer, by giving you the opportunity to make great friends in our sports teams or – best of all – by helping you let your hair down on our fantastic socials! In the year 2012-13 we opened the year with a sports themed Freshers Social, which was follow
ed by a Hip-Hop bar crawl and a Hawaiian party later in the year. We also held a SECRET CITY Christmas Invasion party which began at the Student's Union Bar One before a coach took us to Leeds for an amazing bar crawl! As a society we have also teamed up with other committees to host joint society events such as 'This is War', 'Geek Chic' and 'Big Fat Social' – all of which are known to be great nights out! The biggest party of the year however is our holiday – in 2011 we whisked students away to Amsterdam, in 2012 to Paris and in 2013 to Rotterdam! It's not all alcohol and bar crawls though – we also host a variety of alcohol free socials throughout the year. In 2012 guest speaker Massimo Polidoro provided an interesting lecture on investigating paranormal phenomena and we have regular movie socials with pizza and cakes! On top of this, every year we hold our *Psychology Ball* - the perfect opportunity to glam up, crack out your best suit or dress and have a meal and a dance with friends.
