Race 8 - City Championships at Graves Park - 28/2/26

Y3/4 Girls - 139 girls ran, Y3/4 Boys - 158 ran, Y5/6 girls -113 ran, Y5/6 Boys - 150 ran

We had a brilliant turn out at the Championships this morning and managed to get 3 full teams out in the Y3/4 girls race, Y3/4 Boys race and Y5/6 boys race! This is amazing for a one form entry school!

We welcomed some newcomers this morning - Bethan and Grace joined the Y3/4 girls, Josh, Oliver and Benjamin joined the Y3/4 boys and Leon, Isaac and Albie joined our Y5/6 boys - thank you to all of you, this meant we had complete teams to enter. There were loads of PBs this morning and everyone stayed relatively clean (except 1 or 2).

Rain and mud didn't stop play! Well done to everyone who braved that race and the slippy hill to the finish! Well done if your shoes stayed on! Some fantastic results today and 33 children turned out to run - you are FANTASTIC. Nice to see Stanley (Y6) coming back to join us - glad your football was cancelled!

Our Y5/6 girls went to a Netball competition with Miss Sewell yesterday. Miss Sewell said the girls were 'buzzing'. They won 2 games and lost one 3:2. We think the girls were second.
Well done to all the girls - Molly, Cherry, Saffy, Sadie, Sophia, Janiah, Charlotte, Isla, Elizabeth and Tamara!

I never made it to Cross Country yesterday, but 3 of our children did! Well done Parker, Jacob and Milo. Where was all the snow??
Parker 28th, Jacob 22nd and Milo 41st. Milo had a major fall at the beginning so did really well to catch up!

Y3 made the most of the snow with a snow man competition - the children brought the snow inside…Do you have a favourite?

School will open at 10am this morning - Friday 9th Jan, to give staff time to get to school due to the snow. We will send a text shortly.
