We are incredibly proud to welcome you to Mercia Northridge School, an aspirational school of over 750 pupils serving the north of Sheffield. Mercia Northridge School is where they can be supported, encouraged and challenged to excel with academic outcomes, and have access to opportunities beyond school. My ultimate belief is that with us, all pupils, no matter their context, can and will achieve anything. Our mission is to empower everyone in our community, especially the most disadvantaged, to succeed. Mercia Northridge School has the daily opportunity to change the lives and futures of young people who deserve nothing less that the best. We know that high expectations can be realised with warm relationships, built on high standards of behaviour, punctuality and respect. Our daily expectations reflected in manners, uniform and equipment create an environment where pupils can focus on the high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum. Daily enrichment built into the school day promotes creativity, confidence, and healthy minds. We know that strong systems and consistency drive exceptional pupil outcomes, and we want to support families to benefit from this. At Mercia Northridge School, teaching and learning are at the heart of what we do. Our teaching staff are subject specialists who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to developing a rigorous and carefully structured curriculum that enriches and challenges all pupils, and that always promotes reading. Our excellent staff know the difference between being nice and being kind; they care deeply enough for all children to hold pupils to high account and promote high aspirations. As part of Mercia Learning Trust, we share a common mission and set of values. We are committed to kindness, perseverance and responsibility, and these values underpin everything we do, shaping the culture of our school. We are working hard to ensure our outcomes for the disadvantaged improve significantly.
