Fantastic EFAW course earlier on in the week with the magnificent team from Belmayne - Independent Chartered Financial Planners. All of them absolutely smashing their Emergency First Aid at Work course. An absolute pleasure to work with such a fun team who also do so much for local charities.

Busy day yesterday! Session 3/4 at High Storrs School teaching year 9 students expedition first aid skills in readiness for their Bronze expeditions (sorry, no photos....it was a bit busy with 42 very eager students to teach!) and then onto a training session with North East Derbyshire CFRs with practical sessions focussed on Basic Life Support, using an AED and discussing the 2025 resus council changes.

Two fantastic DofE First Aid training sessions held at High Storrs School in Sheffield for their Gold groups. This highly interactive, energetic 2 hour session included CPR and use of a Defib, Recovery Position in the outdoors, choking, control of bleeding, fractures and splints, burns and scalds, Hypothermia and Hyperthermia, Asthma and Anaphylaxis! Really looking forward to similar sessions for their Bronze groups coming up later in the month! If you run DofE in a school or a club and are interested drop us a message!

Our next FREC 3 RPL course will be held in Dronfield, Derbyshire, scheduled for April 11th to April 13th (Sat to Mon) over a long weekend (3 days). The cost will be £375. There are only 3 places left. To qualify for this course learners must be qualified First Responders/Casualty Carers from the emergency services (police, fire and rescue, search and rescue) or armed forces personnel. Fantastic Day 1 of an Outdoor First Aid course at Heritage High School, Clowne today, part of The Two Counties Trust. Staff from across the trust developing their skills leading to safer trips, outdoor education and DofE expeditions!
