While out and about in Sheffield today, you’ll never guess who Miss Naylor bumped into! None other than our very own Pride of Yorkshire lion cub Leonardo Da Mary! We are so lucky to have had him placed in The Millennium Gallery and think he looks ‘ROARSOME’. Why not check him and the other Lions out over the Summer?

This week, Reception have had some visitors in class. Thank you to one of our parents for allowing them to look after them for a week; it has literally brought their learning to life.

Well done to St. David's team for winning sports day 2026! We were all super impressed with everyone's fantastic attitudes to the day and thankfully the weather stayed dry too.

What a fantastic turnout at the first St Mary's Junior Parkrun Takeover! Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the parkrun team for all their support.

School council were invited to host a meeting at Ecclesfield Parish Council. They had a great time meeting the councillors and learning all about how the Parish Council and the City Council functions.

Year 2 concluded their science learning with a trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. They saw so many different animals and found out all about the habitats they live in. The children represented school beautifully and had a wonderful day.

We’ve had a fantastic morning raft building. We are slightly more tired and definitely more mucky than when we left, but we are happy and on our way home.

After a hearty breakfast we have been crate stacking and fencing this morning. Get ready parents: a few children are already asking where there is a fencing club back in Sheffield.

We’re all fed and watered after a very busy day climbing and orienteering at PGL. Just having a last run around before getting tucked up for bed.
