On Wednesday, our Reception children performed their third and final Poetry Recital of the year!
Three times a year, we invite parents and carers into school to watch the children confidently perform a range of seasonal poems, celebrating the incredible progress they make in their communication, language and oracy skills throughout the year.
It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on just how far they have come. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them. 🥰

Y3 had a visit from a volcanologist yesterday! They learnt all about geoscience and the future careers they could have in that field; it was very inspiring! They even got to hold some rocks that came from volcanoes and some that were billions of years old! 🪨

The children in our Wraparound After School Club noticed lots of birds in the bush at the corner of the playground. They spent time watching them and talking about where the birds might find their food.
Mrs Eades encouraged the children to think of ways they could help, and together they decided to make a bird feeder! Using lolly sticks kindly brought in from home by Megan and Sam, along with some string, they carefully built their feeder and waited for it to dry.
Today, the children proudly hung it up and filled it with bird food. Now we’ll be keeping a close eye on it to see if any hungry birds come to visit! 🐦💚
