🎬Today I want to share with you some of my favourite French films ! They are not necessarily my top 5, and I will add some more! Why not give them a go ?

"Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain": Probably the most famous French film in the past few years, but I absolutely love this one. A whimsical and charming tale set in Paris, this film follows the extraordinary adventures of Amélie as she orchestrates small miracles to bring joy to those around her.

"Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles": Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, this poignant film intertwines love and war as it follows Mathilde's relentless search for her missing fiancé in the aftermath of World War I, unraveling mysteries and secrets along the way. I have taught this film for many years at A level, it is another big favourite of mine.

"Les Demoiselles de Rochefort": Maybe rather old-fashionned, I watched this so many times as a teenager. This is a vibrant musical directed by Jacques Demy, this film enchants with its colorful cinematography and catchy tunes as it follows the romantic escapades of twin sisters in the picturesque seaside town of Rochefort.

"Intouchables": Based on a true story, this heartwarming comedy-drama explores the unlikely friendship between a wealthy quadriplegic man and his caregiver from the Parisian suburbs, transcending social barriers and inspiring audiences with its humor and humanity.

"Le Dîner de Cons": A hilarious comedy of errors, this film follows the misadventures of Pierre, who invites eccentric guests to a weekly dinner where they compete to bring the most amusing "idiot" as a guest, leading to uproarious chaos and unexpected revelations.

Why don't you tell me about your favourite French film in the comments?
