Change can be necessary, but often daunting and sometimes uncomfortable or unclear.
Navigating change, whether decisive or reactive, can be tricky and sometimes we need help from those around us to work out how we maintain our agency.

Ever noticed how some days you can take on everything that comes your way, and others the slightest incline can feel insurmountable?
Any number of things affect how we feel on a given day. Our resilience and resolve is not determined by any single training programme, but is complex and influenced by our wellbeing, life developments, health, hormonal cycle, diet, hydration, exercise. The list goes on.
Some days it’s about recognising whether you’re able to take on mountains, hills, or just put one foot in front of the other.
Let’s not judge ourselves for what we don’t seem able to achieve some days, but know that our achievement is the best we can offer on that day.
Stay kind to yourself.

Being able to look ahead and define our goals is a great exercise. But it’s important to also realise how far we’ve come.
Even if we’re not totally content with our present, there’s a past version of ourselves that’s overjoyed we’ve made it to where we are.
So whenever progress feels slow, we’re feeling stuck, or the future feels murky don’t deny all of the strength it’s taken you to get to where you are.
You’ve achieved things you won’t have even foreseen.

What’s the spark of an idea that keeps re-emerging in your mind?
The one that you keep mulling over and perhaps rationalising away, or denying because it’s too different, too big, or too daunting?
What would it feel like to give that spark permission? Could you nurture it into something more? How could you resist the need to rationalise it away and instead give life to what you’re denying?
Think about where the world could be if more people felt they had permission to act on their sparks.

Most of us have had the feeling…
The bottom falls out of your stomach, your breathing changes, and your thoughts spiral.
Anxiety can affect all of us. Some people struggle with it more than others, and some live their lives managing anxiety every day.
Sometimes, it can be helpful for your brain to reconnect with the present and stop over stimulating our concern for the future. There are lots of grounding techniques out there, but doing a countdown of the senses is an easy one to remember.
Control is hard in moments of anxiety, so why not have a toolbox of exercises to work through how we’re feeling?

Morning fans!
As human beings we are capable of any number of multiple and complex emotions. We can feel conflicted, overwhelmed, and even feel deeply without being able to identify the source.
To help us have better conversations about our emotional wellbeing, we to evolve our language beyond the binary of ‘happy’ and ‘sad’. So today’s addition to the language library is liberosis, which describes a desire to care less about things.

What does your look like?
It might be a house with books stacked floor to ceiling, it might be a dream destination with sand between your toes, or it could be the perfect spot on the sofa.
There are ways we can change our environment and the way we behave in it that can lead to having better quality time by ourselves and with our loved ones.
Instead of designing our homes with the latest must-have item or choosing colour schemes based on trends, how about cultivating feelings through our homes and how we design and organise them?
No matter the size or shape of where you live, have a beautiful relationship with the home you’re in.

There are infinite emotions we are capable of feeling.
We tend to settle on the play school emotional categories of ‘happy’, ‘sad’, ‘angry’, ‘hungry’. But what would it feel like to have more words to describe how we feel?
As we learn that being able to understand our own emotions and communicate them to those around us is fundamental to having authentic and healthy relationships, imagine what it would look like to have a better vocabulary.
“Today I’m feeling a sense of énouement because I never thought I’d realise my goals in this way and part of me wishes my past self could have understood that”. Wow.

The personal development industry can be LOUD!
With so many flashy images, reels, and ‘quick fix’ tips, coaches can feel that if they’re not out there among the noise, they’re missing out.
But this forgets one fundamental principle. Development and growth come from the individual, as coaches we cultivate positive and strengths-based thinking, and maintain a consistent presence should anyone need our coaching support.

We’ve all been there…
