What a ride so far….
From exploring the whole county with Bear, and the unreal foreign holidays, and now with SO many plans for the next 9 years…
I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else as much as you drive me crazy (in good and bad ways 👀😂)

Things I would tell my pregnant 18 year old self ……
Your life is not over. It’s just beginning
You will find your purpose at 40 yrs old. It will be life changing for so many and fulfill you more than you could dream
You are allowed to outgrow people, places, and versions of yourself
Life will test you more than you would believe, be harder than you thought possible, but will then be amazing
A four legged baby will come your way and change your life forever
Not everyone’s got ur best interests at heart and some of those come family and friend shaped
There will be one year that breaks you
Prioritise your health. Training amongst people who have your back will save you
You are allowed to change your mind
Failure is essential for growth, you don’t need to have life all figured out
You are going to do things you may not be overly proud of… but that’s ok as long as you learn from it and don’t repeat
DO NOT BLEACH YOUR HAIR
You can’t please everyone. Don’t try
Don’t change yourself to fit into places that aren’t meant for you. Keep loving hard

And, if you’re in that “starting over” phase right now, then this is my message to you -
Keep going
It gets better
And it will be worth it 🫶🏽

BODY BUILDING IS NOT JUST FOR BODYBUILDERS 🚫
It’s one of THE most underrated tools for staying strong, resilient, and injury-free.
So your routine is mostly HIIT, running, cardio, or Pilates (all great, by the way), but you’re not strength training with progressive overload at the core… then you are leaving far too many benefits on the table 😩
Strength training isn’t about chasing aesthetics (although that can be a bonus 😈)
It’s about -
• Building joints that can actually handle life
• Strengthening muscles that protect you from injury
• Improving bone density (especially important as we age)
• Supporting metabolism and long-term fat loss
• Enhancing performance in EVERYTHING else you do
It’s the difference between just “working out” and actually preparing your body for real life
And this is especially important for women
Women are often told to stay light, stay small, stay in the cardio zone… 👊🏽😡
But strong is what protects you. Strong is what carries you through life. Strong is what keeps you independent
So I’ll say it again:
Women NEED to strength train
AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

Self Reflection Sunday….. when early life shapes your future self 💌
Becoming a teen mum meant I knew some people had their opinions about me and had my life mapped out before it even really started
So I made a decision early on. I would set my own standards so high that no one could question my love, my work ethic, or my ability to care for my daughter and my partner
It wasn’t easy. It was hard work then, and it still is now. But it’s shaped my whole life and was the most worthwhile decision I’ve made
And that mindset never left me. It runs through my whole life and into the way I show up in my work
In the gym, people know I like things just right 🙄😂
The coaching
The gym being clean and nice to train and be in
Members getting what they need, what they deserve
And sometimes that means a bit of tough love
Because I often see more in women than they see in themselves. I want them to be stronger, happier, and content in who they are
Sometimes growth needs honesty, encouragement, and someone who refuses to let you play small
So if I’m on your case in the gym…
If I’m correcting you, pushing you, not letting you quit…
It’s not because I’m being hard on you
But because I see more in you
And the truth is, not everyone gets the same energy….. ☺️
So let’s keep rising together. Through the good and bad times
Keep moving forwards 🧡🫶🏽

QUICK FAIL this morning 🙄🤯😂
From being a kid, I’ve HATED failure
But when I started training at age 40, I learned quick sharp that failure in the gym is a GOOD thing (I still hated it for a long minute 🙄😂)
Missing a rep
Getting stuck under the bar
Walking away humbled
I learnt that’s NOT weakness
That’s learning what you can do. It’s your bodies feedback
If you never miss a rep, you’re not improving
You’re coasting (which is fine if you don’t want to hit specific goals by the way!)
Failure is the line between comfort and growth.
Progress doesn’t come from staying comfortable
It comes from showing up, trying hard, and occasionally falling short
So don’t fear failure in the gym
Respect it. Learn from it. Come back stronger.
Because the people who improve the fastest aren’t the ones who never fail
They’re the ones who aren’t afraid to
