A big well done to our Cygnets class from the other week 🦢

We headed to Pedall and cycled an amazing 4 miles 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ such a fantastic achievement, especially as two of the children had only learned to ride a few months before!

Despite the rain pouring the whole time 🌧️, there wasn’t a single complaint, just lots of determination, smiles and teamwork. We are so proud of them all! 💪

At Coombe House School, we are excited to be taking part in No Pens Day on 20th May 2026 to raise funds for Speech and Language UK . As part of No Pens Day, we are asking each pupil to bring in an item of their choosing as part of the biggest-ever show and tell! This will give your child a chance to practice their communication skills, listen and talk to others in their class about something that matters to them. We’re also asking each pupil to bring in a voluntary donation of £1 to the children’s charity Speech and Language UK. You can also donate using the QR code. These vital funds will help raise awareness about the 1 in 5 children in the UK with speech and language challenges. Thank you for your support!

Following on from two successful online parent training sessions in the Autumn and Spring terms, the CHS Therapy team are excited to announce that we running a third training session on Wednesday 13th May at 11am. This will focus on how to support young people's language development at home. Please see your emails for details on how to sign up. We look forward to seeing you there!

As part of their learning on Ancient Egypt, Kites class had a lovely visit to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorset followed up by some great learning in class, including how to write words in hieroglyphics. Brilliant work Kites 😀

It was great to see so many parents and carers at our recent Open Day. It is always lovely to see the pupils so engaged and enthused about their school. Wishing you all a very Hoppy Easter! We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 14th April (Monday 13th is a staff INSET day).

Don't forget it is Comic Relief tomorrow (Friday 20th March) and we are encouraging all those who want to, to take part in 'Red to Toe' - which basically means wear something red! We are suggesting a £1 donation to help this great charity. If your child would rather just wear non uniform for the day that is also fine - with a suggested donation of £1. We look forward to seeing what staff and students come up with!
