We've had a lot of fun this term! We have been enjoying Autumn and the beautiful colours it brings. The children made prints and leaf rubbings using leaves they found on our walks, we made faces on some of the large leaves using wobbly eyes, beads etc and we investigated some gourds, pumpkins, conkers, beech nut shells, acrons and pine cones using our magnifying glasses. We've also been celebrating Diwali by decorating glass jars with tealights in, making beautiful Rangoli patterns on the paving outside, decorating our Pre-school doorstep with various coloured chalks, dressing up and enjoying dancing to traditional music. We also observed Rememberance Day by talking about what happened, re-enacting the battle with props and making poppies out of various materials eg; tissue paper, finger painting, buttons and sticky back plastic. Now we're onto Christmas preparations, fun times, lots of sparkles and excitement! 😊

Wow! 7 years ago! The children grew these fruits and vegetables and we entered them into the Kemsing Gardener's Show! We didn't win but we loved having the opportunity to show our home-grown produce! 😁

What a busy half-term we've had so far! Even though the weather hasn't been very kind to us we have made the most of it and engaged in so many activities based around; maths, construction, self-confidence and self-esteem, science, mixing colours, mark-making in many different ways, planting and growing, making friends, literacy skills, fine motor control, story times using props, role play, cooking in the mud kitchen and so, so much more!
