Selattyn School is a small, friendly village school, situated in the Shropshire village of Selattyn near to the Welsh border. The school offers small class sizes, high quality teaching and excellent pastoral care. At Selattyn School, we are committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment in which children will be happy, enjoy learning, and develop positive relationships

with others. Our school centres around our vision which focuses on moral, cultural, spiritual, social and physical development of our pupils. This ensures success for all in our happy and caring school family where everyone is treated as an individual. We strive to make our school welcoming, open and friendly with a positive ethos where the views of the children and parents are valued. We are a fully inclusive school and strive to ensure equality of opportunity for all our pupils. Our aim is that all children are supported to fulfil their potential in all aspects of the curriculum. 🏅 What a brilliant way to finish the school sport calendar for the year!

Last week, the Marches Academy Trust Primary Rounders and Ultimate Frisbee Varsity took place at Shrewsbury School, bringing together pupils from across our schools for a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and fun.

The event was a wonderful celebration of another successful year of school sport, with pupils demonstrating determination, resilience and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. It was fantastic to see so many young people enjoying the opportunity to compete, develop their skills and represent their schools with pride.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the staff and organisers who made the event such a success.

🌿🔍 Ecology Workshop at Selattyn School 🔍🌿

We enjoyed a fantastic ecology workshop at Selattyn School, joined by a teacher from St Martin’s School. Students explored the school grounds, collecting natural materials to create a range of habitats in choice chambers. They then investigated which environments woodlice preferred, developing their observation, enquiry, and scientific investigation skills along the way.

🎉☀️ Fun at the Selattyn School PTA Summer Fair! ☀️🎉

What a fantastic afternoon at the Selattyn School PTA Summer Fair! From trying our luck at the tombola, hair feathers, sand art, water pitols to the highlight of the day - soaking the Head Teacher - there was plenty of fun and laughter for everyone involved! 💦😂

A huge thank you to the PTA, staff, volunteers, and families who helped make the event such a success. It was wonderful to see the school community come together and enjoy a great day in the sunshine. 🌞🎟️🎉

A fantastic day of fun, determination, and teamwork! From conquering the obstacle course to racing and skipping with enthusiasm, everyone gave their best and showed excellent sportsmanship.
