☀️ SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! ☀️

And what a year we’ve had! 🌈🎉

From colour runs and sponsored challenges to celebrations, festivals and plenty of slightly bonkers ideas along the way… thank you for getting behind us and making it all happen.

To every parent, volunteer, member of staff, local business and child who has helped, donated, sponsored, baked, bought, shared, cheered us on or simply turned up - THANK YOU.

PTFA only works because lots of people do a little (and sometimes a lot!), and together we’ve created some brilliant memories for our children this year.

Now it’s time to ditch the book bags and enjoy summer! ☀️

Whether that means holidays and adventures or juggling work, childcare and approximately 47 snacks a day 😅, we hope there are plenty of good times amongst the chaos.

And to our Year 6 leavers - go and smash your next adventure! Don’t be strangers. You’ll always be welcome back at our events and we’ll be cheering you on. 🌟

🎶 We’re incredibly proud of our pupils! 🎶

Three pupils from our primary school had the incredible opportunity to perform at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod with Great Longstone Choir - one of the world’s most prestigious choir festivals.

Performing in the heat, they sang in both the Junior Choirs and Open Choirs competitions, with the choir achieving an amazing 🥉 3rd place in the Junior Choirs.

What an unforgettable experience and a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to all the singers, choir leaders and families involved.

Well done - we’re so proud of you all! ❤️🎶

A huge thank you to all our staff who are helping make this special week happen. They’ve fully embraced the 150th celebrations and have already raised an incredible £705 for the PTFA through their own 150 Challenges.

📣 Our amazing Year 6 PTFA Ambassadors have been busy! 🐾🍬

Today they joined forces to create a production line, sorting dog treats and human treats ready for the Baslow Dog & Car Show.

This is exactly what being a PTFA Ambassador is all about - teamwork, helping others, getting involved and making things happen for our school community.

A huge thank you to all of the children (and parents) who gave up their time to help prepare everything and fuel them with bacon butties.

This bunting is more than decoration.

Made by a school grandparent, decorated by Year 6 pupils and finished by Mrs Barron using logos rescued from unsellable school uniform, it perfectly captures the spirit of our 150th celebrations.

Who trusted Sarah with a mallet and the job of assembling the PTFA’s 150th Birthday keyrings?! 🔨😂

Let’s just say we’ve barely scratched the surface, and progress is… steady!

A huge thank you to the wonderful teams at and for helping bring these together. Not only have they been incredibly kind and supportive, but their shops are also full of beautiful gifts, bath bombs, soaps and locally made goodies.

If you’re in Bakewell, please do pop in and have a browse. Supporting local businesses that support our community is always a lovely thing to do. ❤️

Now, if you’ll excuse me, there are approximately 197 more keyrings waiting for me and my mallet… 😅

🤩⭐️🥁DRUM ROLL PLEASE🥁⭐️🤩

We did the BIG reveal at school last week and here is the footage! Slightly chaotic but it some how absolutely worked 😂🌈

The amount was completely incredible and only possible thanks to the amazing parents, grandparents, volunteers, donations and of course, the children!

This money will all go towards supporting our wonderful school , to create more magical experiences for our kids.

And…. We already have a date set for next year!!!
