81 years ago today marks the start of the landings in Normandy; the largest seaborne invasion in history. Many gaves their lives to rid this world from tyranny. We owe them all so much, please lets never forget their sacrifices.

Today we spend Memorial Day as we do every year at Cambridge American Cemetery. A very moving day, good to see so many friends and Museums again. You will always been remembered, freedom comes at a price that these men and women paid for.

Had a good week in Normandy France, staying metres away from Omaha Beach this year has really been something else, but its time to come back to UK. You may have seen a few “Shorts” on YouTube popping up, theres more to come and in only a few weeks im off to Belgium. Merci to my French hosts who i now call my friends, see you again im sure.
