As I'm sure you're aware, it's 50 years since the launch of the Triumph Stag, one of which I am the proud owner of. I made a video to commemorate the occasion. It's just a bit over 8 minutes long. There were Stags of many colours, including my yellow one, at Ryde Esplanade, Isle of Wight today as well as a good collection of other classic vehicles. This weekend was originally designated to be the annual Isle of Wight Classic Car Extravaganza, which usually attracts many hundreds of classic vehicles for a two day show at Newport and Ryde. Due to the dreaded lurgy, this year's show was cancelled but that didn't stop several score vehicles and their owners turning up informally. Tip from the top is that, assuming normal service has resumed, next year's Extravaganza will be 11th & 12th September. Put it in your diary now!

Thankyou so much to Mark Smith who owned the car from about 1985 - 87 for these pictures, as well as some history of the car, when it was apparently brown. I have to say I'm glad it was resprayed!

Tuned up by Barry Price at Prices Motors, Newport IW. It definitely runs better now and takes off like the proverbial something from a shovel!
