One minute you’re steaming into a 18kt wind and the next it’s TUNA TIME!

The brixham bite is 🔥

This weekend just gone saw me with another 2 days booked but the Saturday was lost to some serious wind unfortunately.
That same wind really stirred things up out there and the big washing machine busts of late didn’t happen on the Sunday.

But - we still saw lots of fish. Smaller groups of tuna spread out over very large areas!

We had legend Dave Taylor and his son Tom aboard along with Trevor returning for his second trip aboard Steve’s Im Hooked Charters.
Order of the day - get Tom his first ever tuna. Get Trev his first one on this boat (although there aren’t many fish left Trev hasn’t caught).

Tom made short work of the first tuna hooked up - handled like an absolute pro. A lovely father and son moment!
Shortly after we hooked up again and after a spirited fight Trev had the tuna on top but it somehow spat the hook 😭
I took the rod for the third take and enjoyed meeting a stunning bluefin after a good scrap.

We shared some cold morettis, had plenty of laughs, Paige fed a seal with a mackerel she caught herself, a great way to spend a grey autumnal day at sea!

Steve has availability for October and November out of brixham and I can reccomend some good accommodation and food options if you need them too!

You left the marina in the earliest of the dawn.
You’ve caught some bait.
Punch some numbers in the plotter and head out to the tuna grounds to be greeted by this.
