Sunday 13th September - one space available tuna fishing out of Fowey, Cornwall.

Trolling gear provided, you can spin if you have your own spin gear.

£250 paid direct to skipper on the day (£1000 a day for the boat 4 anglers)

There’s a lot of fish about and Steve works bloody hard to get you on em, not one litre of fuel held prisoner!

Lovely boat, beamy and stable, lots of comfy seating, loo, fridge etc.

Privilege to be allowed to set the gear with the skipper Steve.

I’m far from experienced but I’ve picked a few bits up from friends who know far far more than me.

Couple that with a healthy ADHD obsession/hyperfocus that means I’m absorbing information from all angles at any given chance 😬😅

Slightly longer format - this is what tuna fishing is in the uk.

Not to get too emotional about it though, tuna fishing, or boat charters in general are something a bit special in my opinion.
You surround yourself with likeminded people and plan a day together united by a shared interest. The fishing is often a byproduct of a great day.

Everything from the banter, to the boat beers, the teamwork, the meal the night before, the drive down and the drive home.

It just feels like something bigger to me. It’s where I’m supposed to be in life.

You know you have it right when you’re more interested cheering on your close ones for their fish, or spotting dolphins, birds, whales etc whatever it may be.

Boat fishing isn’t cheating, it’s the pinnacle of angling. The second you step on the pontoon every feeling, every sound every smell is heightened.

These are the days you’ll remember forever (in my opinion).

That’s how it is for me, anyway.

Charlie Boi!

Our mate Charlie played an absolute blinder in Sunday. 15 years old, pb list many would envy, proper angler and all round lovely lad.

The first take of the day was always going to be his and he absolutely smashed it. What a moment and what a wonderful father and son moment too! Core memory unlocked!
