Amazon world adventures
This week we went to explore Amazon world. We had such fun meeting the Meerkats, following the flamingoes, and chasing the cheeky monkeys, trying to keep up with them! We also went to the soft play and practised our climbing, balancing, and our ball skills.

Quarr Abbey and the Christmas Imaginarium
The children enjoyed seeing the nativity scene at the Abbey. They were very observant and talk about all the details they could see in the scene. We then went to the Christmas Imaginarium and got completely caught up in the Christmas magic of the shop. The children were amazed to find the door to the elf workshop, discovering they could hear the elves working away, when they pressed their ear to the door. It was Very hard to leave the shop!

One of our favourite days of the week is Tuesdays when we get to join in with forest school sessions. We love to explore the wood, make dens, have camp fires 🔥 , and practise lots of new skills, such as cutting up the fire wood. Most importantly we get to make lots of new friends, and get to be outside having lots of fun 🤩

We had been learning about colours and we decided to play a new game. Sellotape was stretched between the door frame so that we could practise our throwing skills, trying to get the balls stuck on the tape. We had so much fun and giggles. We ended up with about 30 balls stuck!

Remembrance Day
We talked about the significance of poppies and then made our own paper plate poppies. We also went out to see the poppy display at a church in Ryde. The poppies were beautiful and the children pointed out lots of different ones. The children made their own poppy picture using red and green toys they had collected.
