Anji Play

Our Reception children have been enjoying Anji Play on Wednesday afternoons. Anji Play gives children the freedom and space to explore, create and express their ideas through open-ended play.

Using a range of everyday and natural materials, the children have been busy building, designing, experimenting and working together. It has been wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they make their own choices and follow their interests.

Through their play, the children are developing important skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity and independence, all while having lots of fun!

What a fantastic week we've had. Today we traversed high wires and taken part in laser tag battles. A huge thank you to PGL Boreatton Park and their amazing team for a wonderful, memorable week.

It's been an amazing fourth day at PGL Boreatton Park. We've solved problems, zipped along on the high zip wire, survived an impending doom by learning how to create shelters, feathering sticks to help light fires and finally climbing up a giant tower.

Great time today PGL Boreatton Park. We built buggies and got to drive them; scaled poles and jumped off on to a trapeeze; played disc golf and abseiled down a very large wall.

What a smashing second day at PGL Boreatton Park. We had an amazing time working together building rafts (and, naturally, getting very wet in the process) as well as facing our fears on the giant swing and learning how to fence.

What a fantastic first day at PGL Boreatton Park. We had great fun on Jacob's Ladder (I'm sure we have some Spidermen and women in training) and trying our hand at archery.

What an amazing last week of term we've had, including our fantastic Leavers' Celebration Worship; enjoying ice creams provided by FOSS; our annual talent show featuring our very own Simone Cowell and a whole school teddy bears picnic. We ended the year with an incredible colour run organised by our wonderful PTA - FOSS.

Thank you to everyone who makes Samlesbury the very special place that it is. Have a wonderful summer holiday and we'll see you back in school on Thursday 3rd September.

A huge thank you to our wonderful House Captains for all their hard work, enthusiasm and leadership throughout the year. You have each done a fantastic job, shining your light and setting such a positive example for others. You have certainly left some big shoes to fill!

Congratulations to our newly appointed House Captains for the coming year. We are sure you will rise to the challenge, lead your houses with pride and continue to let your lights shine. Well done to you all!
