What a fantastic trip!

We are so proud of all of our Year 4 children for the fantastic attitude, independence and maturity they showed throughout their residential. From the moment we arrived and they broke into song to our favourite play songs, right through to packing their own bags ready for home, they were a credit to the school.

The children fully immersed themselves in the Egyptian workshops, making canopic jars and ankhs, writing their names in hieroglyphics, and making and tasting three different types of Egyptian bread. We also enjoyed campfire stories together, creating some wonderful memories.

The children were an absolute delight to take away and have shown us that they are more than ready for Year 5. We are incredibly proud of every one of them!

Well done, Year 4! 🌟👏

All the children had a great first day of their residential at Hooke Court. They made three types of Egyptian bread and settled into their rooms well last night 🌙😴.

Today the children have already packed and stripped their beds, ready for today's jewellery making workshop 💍⭐️

Great news - yesterday afternoon the sun appeared and we all managed to dry out! There was more firelighting, aeroball, trebuchet and bodyzorbing and two groups even tackled Jacob's ladder and very successfully at that! We're extremely proud of all their resilience and perseverance. After dinner we went on our night hike to end a fantastic day.

🚌 We are now on our way back to school, currently due to arrive at 2.30pm. 🚌 ⭐️Please see separate comms regarding pick up. ⭐️

Despite the soggy weather this morning, spirits have stayed high on the Year 6 residential! 🌧️😊

Each group has enjoyed two exciting activities, from bouncing on the trampolines and competing in aeroball, to building trebuchets and launching "cannons"! Others have been channelling their inner Robin Hood with archery or rolling, bumping and laughing their way through bodyzorbs.

A fantastic morning full of fun, teamwork and adventure!

We have just heard from our Year 6 team, they are having an amazing time on their first night of residential. Earlier in the day the children enjoyed a selection of activities including archery, zorbing, and team games in the sun. Tonight they have made campfires and shared hot chocolate and smores! Dinner was pasta bake or jacket potatoes followed by oaty biscuits which apparently were delicious! We are sure they will sleep well after a busy day and we will send more photos tomorrow.
