Lover are on an exciting mission - to raise £110,000 to purchase, renovate and open the former village school in to a brand new community centre. To raise this ambitious amount of money the village have brought back the once famous Lover Valentine Post giving everyone the opportunity to send a Valentine Card from the romantic village in the world. You can order your card online at lover.org.uk or visit our pop up Post Office in the village of Lover. Each card will receive a special cachet stamp to the envelope to mark its origin before being sent to your loved one. If you want to be part of our love story then get in touch at [email protected]

VALENTINE TAPESTRY
HELP CREATE A PIECE OF HISTORY
To mark our 10th Anniversary of the return of the Valentine Post we would like to create a tapestry timeline illustrating the celebration of St Valentine over many centuries culminating in the Lover Valentine Post. We are inviting all people who would like to help to a meeting at the Old School on Tues 16th Sept at 6.30. If you would like to assist with any aspect eg. Sewing, designing, managing, organising or just general help then please come. You don’t have to be a member so feel free to bring your friends or family that are interested. If you intend to come please let us know by DM and tell us how many to expect. All welcome.

Last night a large group of us gathered at The Boot Inn to clebrate 10 years of the dedicated work of our charity Treasurer Peter on his retirement. Ross (owner and Chef Exraordinaire) gave us the most magnificent " fire" night feast. It was truly amazng and although this one was specially arranged, it is an event that happens every Fri night. Advice is to book early. This events are likely to be sellouts.
