That’s me finished work for the summer! ☀️ 🌻
Blessed to have spent the past year with wonderful little ones and their amazing families 💛

Been absolutely spoilt with some beautiful gifts, but my favourite gift will always be a card with lovely words. I was lucky enough to receive 3🫶🏼🥹

My two biggest sunflowers are off on new adventures and it’s ALWAYS the hardest goodbye, but excited for our new little girl gang to start in September 😍

July - this month we explored the themes of ‘under the sea’, sports day, and dinosaurs! -
We had lots of fun with these themes at Baskets of Play , always getting super messy!
We also visited lots of parks with our biggest sunflowers. We enjoyed rock painting, dinosaur themed play trays/sensory tables and lots of colouring! 🪨 🦕 🦖 ✏️
It’s always so special having the big sunflowers off school, the little sunflowers absolutely adore them 🥰

We then joined forces with some friends for a messy themed sports day. 🥇 🏃🏾 We enjoyed an egg and spoon race and some other games! 🥚 🥄 As well as rescuing some balls from ice using hammers (massive hit! No pun intended 🤪) 🔨 🧊 ⚽️
We was also inspired by BOP and made a giant gloopy egg! 🍳

We explored the new park in amesbury and took a couple of trips to Finkley Down Farm 🐐 🐑 🐎 🐰

June - in June we continued to explore the theme of caterpillars and butterflies whilst we waited for our butterflies to hatch from their chrysalis!
We explored a butterfly themed sensory table that was a huge hit. 🐛 🦋
We planted some seeds to take home, as well as making special gifts for our daddy’s. 👨🏻
All of our daddy’s are serving in the military, so a trip to the army flying museum was in order. 💚
The children loved dressing up and exploring the helicopters. 🚁
We also enjoyed trips out to softplay, gymnastics and Baskets of Play

The children helped to bath turtle the tortoise. 🐢
Of course the World Cup kicked off in June so we moved over to that theme! Creating football crafts, exploring a football themed sensory table and talking about all of the different flags we could see. ⚽️

In may we carried on our theme of spring and explored the magical world of mini beasts 🐞 🐝 🐛 🦋

We had some new pets arrive in the form of caterpillars that we watched transform into beautiful butterflies! 🦋
We made lots of lovely bee and butterfly themed crafts,
We explored our themed play trays too, incorporating maths, talking about shape, size and numbers.

The older children asked every morning if our caterpillars 🐛 had transformed yet!

We had a lovely trip to the farm to see all of the baby animals.
As well as our weekly trips to Baskets of Play and a run around at gymnastics to blow off some steam 🤸🏽‍♀️ we also visited the library and found some lovely books about bees and caterpillars!

Backdating 🤪

In the month of April we explored the themes of spring, St George’s day and the military child!

We had lovely spring themed fun at Baskets of Play , we also visited Micheldever Woods with our friends at Thistle Tots child care and created some wonderful bluebell pictures for our families. We also sent one to our penpals at TW Childcare, we received a lovely letter from them too!

We also explored dandelion soup and dandelion playdough, with a trip to the Army Flying Museum - Middle Wallop to talk about the month of the military child.

We made our own crowns for St George’s day and sent some off for our friend to do!

🌟 BOP Star of the Week! 🌟

⭐️ Our BOP Star of the Week is Emmy! ⭐️

💫 Emmy is one of our wonderful Mini Boppers and a much-loved member of the lovely Sunflowers crew. She joins us every week with her team, and it's been so lovely watching the friendships they've built together. 💛

When Emmy first started coming to BOP she used to frown at any messy trays, but now she's completely hands on (quite literally!) and throws herself into every activity with a huge smile. ✨

She's always full of positivity and has become so much more chatty over the past few months... do I now know the age of every member of her household? Yes, yes I do! 😂

During songs and story time, Emmy's behaviour is just gorgeous. She listens beautifully, joins in so thoughtfully, and sets such a lovely example for the other children around her. 🥹

Emmy, it has been so special watching your confidence continue to grow. You're becoming such a happy, creative and caring little girl, and we absolutely love having you at BOP. 😍⭐️

This week our main focus was oral hygiene, we explored our dentist set with some minty playdough. We spoke about good oral hygiene and why we brush our teeth. We all got a new toothbrush and toothpaste to take home too. We used real toothbrushes to paint and to ‘brush’ the shaving foam off of the teeth.

The rest of the week was filled with lovely spring and Easter activities! At the end of the week we visited Curious Cubs Childcare for an Easter party, the sun was shining and we all had the best morning 🐰 🐣
