Busy Bees - Salisbury

Another academic year draws to a close and we say goodbye to another group of fabulous children. We wish them every success and happiness in their reception classes, it has been a privilege to be a part of their early years journey! We will be back to do it all again in September, in the meantime, have a great summer!

Our older children have enjoyed outings to Salisbury Cathedral this term. They were fascinated by all the different things to see! We took the bus into town and stopped at Reeves to buy cheese straws before heading the close for a picnic snack. So many fun learning opportunities.

We are OPEN! We are blessed to have air conditioning so can maintain the rooms at a comfortable temperature. Our outdoor spaces are mostly shaded so we can enjoy those in the morning before the highest afternoon temperatures. With hydration breaks and refreshing cold fruit we are able to to be open for all our families. Keep safe everyone :)

The older children have enjoyed large scale painting this week. The spray bottles were so much fun! It took finger strength and co-ordinated movements to use them successfully and like always it's all about the process and developing a 'have a go' attitude. We can hardly believe we are approaching the end of another academic year and are determined to squeeze as much fun as possible into the last few weeks!

This week we have held our annual spring fundraising walk. The older children went out in small groups to walk around Jay Rise and Highbury Avenue, while the younger children stayed a little closer to home and walked around the school site. Everyone did us proud with super listening and keeping safe. Well done!

Are you considering a pre-school place for your child? Maybe you work but don't need the long hours of a day nursery? We are open from 8.30am to 4pm (3pm on a Friday) during school term time. We accept all types of childcare funding and you will only get a bill if you need more than your funded sessions or want a hot meal a lunch time. This term we have been taking trips to visit Salisbury library. The children really enjoyed choosing books to bring back and share with their friends. The bus was pretty exciting and we even squeezed in a quick play in the park!
