Can’t make our usual Open Days? You can now book a private tour of Salford Lads & Girls Club.

Our new 45-minute Classic Heritage Tour gives visitors the chance to explore the club outside our regular Wednesday and Saturday opening times.

You’ll get to see the famous Smiths Room, our historic Concert Hall, original Billiard Room, Heritage Archives, and of course the iconic doorway that’s become known around the world.

Along the way, we’ll share stories from the club’s history, from 1903 right through to today — the youth work, football teams, music history, community projects and the people who’ve helped shape this place over the years.

Our free Open Days will always remain a big part of what we do, but we know not everyone can make those times. These tours help us keep the building accessible while also supporting the day-to-day running of the club and our work with young people.

£12 per person
Minimum booking of 4 people

Perfect for Smiths fans, music lovers, heritage visitors and anyone wanting to experience a real part of Salford and Manchester history.

We’d love to welcome you in. 💚

Get a behind the scenes look into the Salford Then & Now exhibition at Height Library and join photographers Phil Portus, Steve Chapman, and Cath Stanley as they discuss the inspiration behind the exhibition, the photos, and the contrast between the photos of the past and present.

Following this insightful discussion, we will be joined by local poet, Matt Concannon, for a special reading of the poem created for the Salford 100 celebrations 'The Salford Way.'

This is a FREE drop in event.

📣💚 HEADS UP GENTLEMEN – COMMUNITY CALL TO ACTION 💚📣

We’re building something BIG… and we need your help to take it to the next level 🙌
Right now, we’re creating a powerful space where men can come together, get active, open up, and support each other through life’s challenges 💬💪

A place built on real connection, real support, and real change.
But to make this vision even stronger… we’re reaching out to our community 👇

We’re currently looking for:
🥊 Boxing bags & boxing equipment
🚴‍♂️ Bicycles / mountain bikes
🪑 Stackable or folding chairs
🧘‍♂️ Yoga mats
🌳 Picnic benches (to help us build an outdoor space for the lads)

If you’ve got something sitting there unused, gathering dust… it could go on to make a massive difference to someone else’s life 💚

Every donation helps us create an environment where men feel:
🧠 Supported
💪 Stronger
🤝 Connected
This isn’t just about equipment…
This is about changing lives, one conversation, one session, one step at a time.

📍 If you can help, drop us a message or arrange a local drop-off
🙏 Every single contribution means more than you know

From all of us at Heads Up Gentlemen — thank you for your continued support, belief, and backing of what we’re building ❤️

Together… we’re creating something special 🤝
💚 No Silence. Just Strength. 💚
