Today in Pre School, we've been exploring what lies beneath our skin! We looked at X-rays and talked about our bones, pointing to different parts of our skeletons on ourselves. 🩻

We then worked together to piece the X-rayed bones together, creating a full human skeleton.

During our circle time, we reflected on what we had learnt, understanding our bodies more and what lies beneath our skin. 🦴

Pre School have been getting creative with a wonderful range of natural and loose parts to create their very own unique faces! 👀👃👄

From wooden and metal hoops, stones and wool, bobbins and corks, the children used their imaginations to design faces that were all wonderfully different. 💚

Our Pre School children have begun an exciting new learning journey all about our amazing bodies! 💕

We’ve been exploring our faces, looking closely at the different features we can see in the mirror and talking about what makes each of us unique. 🪞👀👃👄

The children have been developing their observational skills and using their creativity to draw their own faces, adding lots of detail and complexity. 🎨✏️

It’s wonderful to see their confidence growing as they notice, describe and represent the features that make them, them! 🌟

Today in minis, we had such a fun time creating our self portraits. We used a mirror to see our amazing features and discover our unique selves. It was truly special to watch each child connect with their own reflection and begin to build an understanding of who they are. This beautiful exploration helps them feel safe, secure, and valued as they learn and grow. We are so lucky to witness their confidence flourish as they create and express themselves in this joyful way. 🌈

We feel incredibly lucky as practitioners to care for and build those all-important bonds with our babies as they begin their nursery journey.

From those first cuddles and smiles to learning their little personalities, preferences and unique ways of communicating, we love getting to know each and every child and discovering just how amazing they truly are. ✨️🌟

Connection is at the heart of everything we do across our nursery. Because when children feel safe, secure, seen and valued, they can begin to truly flourish.

We feel so privileged to be part of their nursery journey.
