🙌 We want to say a HUGE thank you to The Edge Festival Solva for supporting the Cyfeillion with a grant after their 2025 festival. Thanks to their generous support we were able to become a member of two important organisations that are allowing us to grow and develop as a school friends of group.

🎓 Firstly, we joined Parentkind, the UK's leading PTA network charity, which has supported us in becoming not only a constituted group but also covers us for insurance. AND, through them we have applied to become a registered charity!

💰 Secondly, we have joined Localgiving which is an online fundraising platform and grant delivery partner supporting small charities and grassroots organisations. This platform will allow us to raise much needs funds online for Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi and allow donors to add gift aid and also pupils or friends to run their own fundraising appeals for us.

🫶There are two ways you can help us with next week's performances of Shrek The Musical JR:

1. We need volunteers to help us with our stalls selling refreshments and raffle tickets please.

2. We need raffle prizes to support our fundraising efforts? Maybe you are a local business that could offer an item or a voucher? Or maybe you happen to have a nice bottle of wine, spirits, chocolate at home that you could donate?

All help is really appreciated as we come together as Friends of our amazing 3 campus local school Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi. 🤝💛

This hilarious musical is packed with laughs, has an unforgettable score, and is perfect for big kids and little kids alike!🤣😆

Our next meeting is Monday 22 June at the Harbour Inn in Solva starting at 7pm. We’d love to welcome more parents, relatives and locals to get involved with our friends of charity so feel free to pop along. No need to join a committee, but a few extra volunteers every so often would make a massive difference. Hope to see you there.
