Trinity Community Pre-School

It is with great sadness that Trinity Community Preschool closes its doors for the last time at the end of this academic year in July 2022. The United Reformed Church, in which the Preschool is based, have decided to relocate and sell the church building, leaving the Preschool without a home.
After 36 years as a Community Preschool the setting has provided a welcoming and nurturing environment for over 1,000 local children aged 2 to 4 years in which to play, learn and develop their independence in preparation for school.
With a very experienced staff team and supportive parent committee, the closure of Trinity Preschool will be a real loss to the local community.
We would like to thank all of our families and supporters, past and present, who have made Trinity Community Preschool such a joyful place to work. We send you all our very best wishes for a happy and exciting future.

We had an amazing party today with Squirty Wirty! Magic, games, dancing and bubbles plus lots of yummy party food!

It’s our “Summer Party Day”tomorrow, Wednesday 6th July. Arrive and collect at the usual times; lunch club will run as normal after the party!

The last two weeks have been very busy at preschool. We have enjoyed puppet shows, junk modelling, construction, painting and lots more. Our theme has been ‘holidays’ and we practised packing a suitcase with all the essentials. This week the children designed their own postcard and sent it home to their family!

What a lovely week for outdoor activities! 🌞 The children have been particularly enjoying the large climbing frame and keeping cool under the gazebo with some water play. Thank you all for bringing in your sun hats 🧢

We would also like to wish all of the special men in the children’s lives a very happy Father’s Day for Sunday! Don’t forget to look into their book bags for a little gift they have made 😊

What an amazing day we’ve had! Ark Farm visited with a dog, rabbits, chicks, a tortoise, guinea pigs, a hedgehog, sugar gliders and even an owl 🦉 The children were able to stroke and feed the animals and find out more about them from their keepers. 🐰 🐶 🐥 Thank you Ark Farm 😊

This week has been everything Jubilee. The children printed bunting to decorate the room and made crowns to wear. We read books with Royal characters and considered the world 70 years ago! On Thursday we dressed up in red, white and blue clothing and fancy dress whilst enjoying party food and music. What a lovely end to the half term.
Enjoy some sunny days at home until preschool returns on Monday 6th June.

Queen’s Jubilee Party.
The homemade bunting is up, the beautifully decorated crowns are ready, the cakes have been baked! Tomorrow we will have a little tea party during session to celebrate the Jubilee. Children are welcome to come to preschool wearing party clothes, fancy dress or an item of red, white or blue clothing.

It’s been another busy week at Trinity! Alongside our free play activities the children have been developing their hand eye co-ordination and strengthening their hand muscles with some scissor work ✂️ This is a great activity to do at home with child friendly scissors and old catalogues or cards 😊
